Morning all...
Another not so warm night I feel...
Ok ...end of week for me so I have £10.21 left, which is not so clever as I have a haircut today £11. Will buy some wraps in the Co shop at at £1 per pack..so looking at £13, decided to only spend maximum of £15 going out tonight which wasn't pre planned ..which puts me into £18 ..this is 2.25 days money next week, which starts tomorrow .
Made a pasta bake last night for supper and the remainder for lunch today...I ate it all...So the carrots and potatoes I bought for Sunday will have to be sacrificed for a soup/ casserole perhaps ...
I am obviously new at this food NOT buying malarkey, I always usually (used too) buy most days, but I resent using the electric oven for cooking one dish, I usually try and plan to bake / roast multiple dishes to optimise the cost/use but had nothing in I could use..a shop next week with some careful considerations taking place I feel.
NSD's= 2/30
In budget this morning...will be over the weekly by tonight but happy so far with the month !
Here's to the sunshine :T0 -
Morning all - well we have been playing with our new toys since 5.30 am!! DS is a very happy boy. Plans for the day are a tad spoiled as its not warm enough for the paddling pool and showers may put paid to picnic lunch and bbq tea but for now he seems quite happy playing and waiting for the postie!
SFD unlikely but all good. Got a quote for cavity wall insulation yesterday, less than £300 for our extension which houses kitchen and DD bedroom - most of the house is cob (posh name for mud and assorted bits) and is toasty in winter and cool in summer due to walls that are 2ft thick but her room is freezing in winter and baking in summer. Want to try and rectify this as much as possible before the end of the year. Going to get another couple of quotes and research some more.
Right - if anyone wants me Im off to play trains!

Goooooood Morning! Glorious day up here in bonny Scotland.
Pottered about the garden last night and tonight I might start tackling the back garden and start removing some of the big ("decorative") stones before we can shovel away the chuckies over the next few weeks.
Today will be a spend day. Could have avoided it by buying stuff yesterday when I went out for lunch, but then we didn't need anything yesterday yet. So not sure what's better, save spend days or really make sure I need to go to the shop. Will just top up on milk, bread and veg and the plan a slightly bigger weekly shop for Sunday.
Two new books came out that I'd love to have but resisted and wait to get them from the library. Still one to finish at home anyway.DEBT 02/25: total £6100 Debt free date 12/250 -
Good morning all
nothing to report here, it's a SFD today. DD and I have "date nights" on Friday nights so tonight we're having burgers in buns with chips and then popcorn and ice cream
I always let DD choose what we eat and what we do or watch.
It's lovely weather up here today, as it has been the rest of the week. Hope you all have a lovely Friday xPAD 2023 Debt total as of Dec 2022 £18,988.63*April £17,711.03

:hello:
So another SFD yesterday, taking me up tp 4/20
I PADded the £20 I didn't spend from the food budget this week so that is out of temptation's reach!
Means I have paid off £213.83 so far this month. :j
Off to Mr L's parent's for the weekend, potentially hefty petrol spend but they have a pool...“Obstacles are those frightful things you see when you take your eyes off your goals.”

Afternoon all!!
Thrifty may I start by saying it is better to check what you have before buying anything more rather than "saving" a spend day! It's the actual spending we want to avoid.. so good call, check first!
I have spend the morning getting my tooth sorted out. My crown has now been fitted and I am celebrating tonight by charing a packet of chips with a colleague so a definite no SFD here.. It has been a traunmatic experiance..
I have been able to take my entire teeth mold with me so it's sitting on my desk smiling at me - cracks me up! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
I am here until 1900 though so there shall be no more spending today and I am way under my food quota this week so I shall be carrying loads over next week... Mr Cobes seems like you are blancing things well...
LAGL - are you wearing a conductors hat??
Right since it's taken forever to get to work this morning I have to make this short and sweet......
I'M GONNA HAVE CHIPS!!!..(outta my food budget)..

Another SFD for me, and I'm eating a lunch NSK would be proud of, although not sure you'd enjoy it so much :rotfl:
Wholemeal pitta, bit of humous, end of a cheese grated for stretchability, and left overs of chopped salad earlier in the week. It's not bad exactly, but it's not good either. It is free though, so I guess that's a kind of good, although not one my tastebuds are exactly on board with!Total debt: [STRIKE]£9473.62[/STRIKE] £7,384.87 22% PAIDTAF #25 NSD 8/12 | Food £43.45/£50 | eBay 0/20 | Exercise 5/18:T Proud to be Dealing with my Debt :TDFD: June 20150
