Never watched GOT but heard great things, so really must get around to checking it out.
I have £8.25 of my weekly budget left
Bought a big loaf of bread and a big bag of crisps from L*dl on the way home, so that will have to do for lunches for the rest of the week. Breakfast and teas will be the dregs from the cupboards. I have a day away on Sunday which has all been paid for so I am hoping to save this £8.25 for a few treats in the form of well-deserved drinks.
Will be hard but am trying my best to keep away from the pesky ATM and just use cash.0 -
Hello Spartans,
His missus hope you had a lovely birthday.
Another SFD today which is now 3 in a row :j:j. Will be spending tomorrow and Saturday as I'm doing food shop, birthday presents, some clothes shopping and maybe some 50p clothes patterns. The reason is both days is I'll be in town tomorrow to look in the charity shops/cheaper shops and Saturday I'll be stocking up on turkey breast steaks at Lidl as they're £1.49 a pack. Sunday will be a SFD though as only picking up 12 chickens for my mum and step dad (=free eggs:T)
Only spend day so far for next week will be Wednesday as I'm having my nails done at the local college. £7.50 for a set of acrylic nails is my mother's day present from DH but it's taken me this long to get hold of the college :mad:TOTAL DEBT £12,212.46/£2000 paid offDebt Free Goal September 2017#106 Emergency Fund £482.53/£10000 -
Lionheartedgirl..Tuesday I cracked after a difficult day and bought a bottle of wine. After just 4 days of no alcohol, I had a really grumpy morning after and it has put me right off bothering again! :j
I have not had a glass of wine for 10 days 23 hours and 26 minutes..it's not bothering me at all....very much..even tho' sun is shining..etc..
cheers to you !
Ok yesterday was my spend day..stayed within the weeks budget..but not the 5 days so the gizmo spendometer is telling me off..will all be better tomorrow until the night when its out time !
Disaster with the chickens today..found one of them dead..sought advice..apparently a prolapse..real shame ..I actually like them ..!! especially the one who always jumps over the fence and starts eating the bugs and slugs..funny...
So tomorrow....haircut...accounted for with remainder of budget..friday out night will be a bit frugal spending Saturdays and Sundays hopefully not Mondays budgets.
Still eating from cupboard and freezer...getting a little more complex stringing meals together now ...
Heres to you Mrs Robinson..wherever you are...(invite me round for supper ):kisses3:0 -

:bdaycake: Happy Birthday His Missus !
Yay! SFD #5...was meant to be going to a talk with Dad, but he decided with this great weather there was no point spending it indoors so we are now having a BBQ at his and my Mum's. He had hit the shops before he told me the change of plan so I didn't have to buy or bring anything. Awesome for my saving plan.
NSK thanks for asking about my colleague; yesterday he was very subdued as I think he was in shock. Today he had written a very logical email to me & my manager saying how hurt he was. We had another meeting about it but there is no way he can do it as our job requires us to work some evenings and weekends, so if he works then he can't technically do his job with us. I feel awful as his girlfriend just split up with him so he's had to move out as well as still pay childcare costs & maintenance. It's hard to know how to support him given that he has cut all his costs but I'm sure his outgoings are more than we are paying him.:idea:LBM @1/4/13 £15,754

Good EVENING!!!
Well now... I have had another nap! What a loser. I am 30 years old for crying out loud. I am supposed to be making food for tomorrow but have got distracted by Super Tornado on Channel 4. And a cuppa! The Shih Tzu is staring at the cat and I know a "spat" is about to occur but I need to let them get it out of their systems..
Mr Cobes I am sorry to hear about your chicken...:(
His_Missus - Happy Birthday to You!!! Really hope you were made to feel special today! :T:T:T
MoneyMash I think you need to be proud of yourself. You switched off QVC! I know what it's like to be all over the place with shifts and stuff - it was the bain(?) of my life for 4 years until I moved within my business to more sane hours - although I say that now.... I have had a few instances whereby I have spoken to some MH patients.. I shall reiterate I was not resident with them before you lot suggest it ( cheeky ) but I would not want to be left alone.. your boss is an eejit!!!:rotfl:
So I am off to finally get my crown done tomorrow. I am going to be super annoyed if it's not done and dusted tomorrow. Yes they have saved me a lot of money but the stupid temp cover on my tooth lasted all of two days before it cracked and came loose... then another week before I managed to swallow it...urgh!!
Anyway...shower and some Walking Dead for me...;-)
Onwards and Upwards....
SFD fail today - had to get the beauty bits that I couldn't get on Monday...“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Good evening everyone!
Happy Birthday His Missus!
Sorry to hear about your chicken Mr Cobes
Today was a spend day - £2 on parking.
In relation to the game of thrones debate - i started watching series 1 due to a not-so-secret crush on Sean Bean - then he goes and gets his head chopped off!! Sorry if this is a spolier but it was 2 series ago and, well, he's not in any adverts anymore so you kinda know... Anyway, i then decided to read the books before series 2 started and am kindof glad i know whats coming. That said i wasnt prepared for the Alfie Allen bit 2 weeks ago.
I do love Sean Bean though - especially in Sharpe!:rudolf: DF by Xmas 2018: #83 £8,250/£15,000 55% :rudolf:
