Good morning all,
Today will be a spend day for me. I have to put petrol in the car before handing it back to ex mil. Will update my sig. with figures later on. That will be my only spend today as dd and I are off school and work due to terrible headachesit must have been the sun yesterday despite dd wearing a Sun hat t shirt sun block and drinking plenty of water. Oh well, a relaxed day at home for the pair of us.

Hello all,
Today will be a spend day as I'm going out with my bestie tonight (carvery tea 2x 2 courses for £10) and I'm also going to treat myself to some new moisturiser. I've been using night cream for the last few weeks since I ran out of day stuff but I think it's making my skin feel a bit greasy. Will update my totals later.
ETA: Spent £15 in b00ts on some moisturiser, some face powder and a lippy.0 -
Morning Chickadees - shortie from me as I am swamped at work. Makes a nice change really.. Made some rock cakes this morning, wasn't paying attention.. added 125g less flour than needed, ended up with a crusty pancake... still broke it up and shoved it in a tupperware tub for nibbles ..:rotfl::rotfl:(cheap skate alert)..
LLL is back from her boyfriends tomorrow and despite making a detour to the local "yellow sticker" Tescos tonight to see what I can scavange I need to hoover, wash the non-flapjack baking sheet that's currently soaking...:o..empty the dishwasher.. and make lunch for tomorrow.. and then get up at 0500 ...
So apart from that.. I am a boring sod... hope everyone keeps well today... won't be an SFD if there are goodies at Tesco's but we shall see... I particularily want some avocados...

I can't find any Ben & Jerry's on special offer drats!
Asda were doing £3 for a tub of B&J on the weekend. Not the best price, but cheaper than usual . . . I was enjoying for Full Vermonty this weekend as a result, despite the fact that . . .32b3in2013 wrote: »It has been cold in my part of London today, I am jealous of everyone who has had sunshine!

. . . it wasn't that nice in Oxford either. I think it was the west coast that got the best of the weather this weekend. Or at least M&D keep ringing my from Pembrokeshire telling me how glorious it is, as if it wasn't bad enough that they're on holiday and I'm not, grrrr :mad:I'm due 15th August but I grow them big. DS was 11lb & I grew out of maternity wear.

Quite weekend witht he BF. Went to the SM and bought things for a BBQ on Saturday, which he insisted on paying for, and have left me with lots of lovely things to eat (because no man can buy the right amount for a BBQ!). But DF had led me to believe that there was charcoal in the shed. There wasn't, so cue late dash to buy some. £5 total spend for the weekend though so pretty pleased with that.Karmachilovething, you are truly hardcore eating things your taste buds are rejecting in order to save money. As people can tell food is my one enjoyment on this debt-busting journey as the Americans would say 'Props' to you.
I'm the same on food, Moneymash, it's one of those things I have difficulty cutting back too far on. On the other hand I hate waste, so I tend to magic lovely things out of bits from the bottom of the fridge. The humous-cheese-mushy avocado pitta was not my best is all, mostly due to not having enough time to organise a better lunch for myself! This week I already have lined up: cold BBQ salmon, with potato salad, green beans and leaves; BBQ roast pepper (can you see the theme here?!) and halumi cous cous, which is enough for 3 days; and stir fry veggies and noodles. Right, think my spending from the weekend is all totted up!
Totals now stand at:
SFDs: 4/20
Food: £15.79/£80 (reduced by £20 as PADded it from last week)
Miscellaneous/Fritter: £10.36/£50
Petrol £109.93/£180
Petrol budget is very tight!
Also got to book parking for holibobs and other expensive things, but I do have some pennies put aside... just got to try and get the best deal now!“Obstacles are those frightful things you see when you take your eyes off your goals.”

Hello got some time now as student left for the day. I still have to do catching up on the previous posts though. Just a little spending update.
Sat and Sun were spend days. My groceries are still well within budget and we should be fine for the week at least. But the others spend is well over although 60 quid were petrol (which isn't mine to pay) as OH went back to bed on Sun (don't get me started) and I took DS to the play park. The tank light was on and we had a 10p/litre off voucher so I filled up before it expires. Hopefully sshould get that and the money he borrowed back on Thursday when the PPI cheque clears.DEBT 02/25: total £6100 Debt free date 12/250 -
I have just been given £25 by a colleague to make 36 cupcakes for her birthday. Will it cost this much? NOPE! ..;-)“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Hi there
Glad everyone has had a good weekend, I worked all weekend but as I finish at 2pm I was able to make the most lazying around in the sun under the parasol out in the garden.
Not a SFD for me, bought 2 x 4pts milk for the week so cost me 1.80 but that was all and a colleague at work bought me in some rhubarb from her garden - so made up now, not sure if I will just stew it and freeze or make a few crumbles and freeze. Made sweetorn fritters for my tea, (as per frugal queen) and they were lovely, had 1/2 tin of corn left over from a couple of days ago and would probably have thrown it:( but frugal head came on and I managed to make four of them, so 2 today and 2 tomorrow:)
Anyway must go and have a bit of a lurk on the diaries.

Gotta love people who clearly don't cook or know the cost of ingredients, but at last she's paying you for your time
Yesterday was a spend day for Housemates Birthday - planned spend of cinema ticket (£10.50!!!) and pub lunch. Was a nice day and I expected there would be more drinks, but I guess as you get older people drink less!
Today SFD courtesy of free sandwiches at my meeting (am expecting the same tomorrow too). However it might not have been as I was having such a dreadful day and I was overtly emotional because of it. My colleague bought me chocolate bar to try and cheer me up. I tried to pay her back but she wasn't having any of it - I will reciprocate on my next spend day as she is about to head into deadline central. Counting down the hours until my holiday...just 2 workdays to go!:idea:LBM @1/4/13 £15,754
