I use it for dumplings, regularly - personally, stew and dumplings is my absolute favourite winter warmer meal, and with the slow cooker, chuck it all in, it is so easy to do, then finish off with the dumplings half hour before serving. My mouth is watering thinking about it. For some reason, it s just one of those meals that makes me excited about winter coming. :)

mmmmmm watering here too! Also my favourite!!

  • Dumplings here, I buy the veggie one but find it harder to get hold of Suet in our local supermarkets these days.

I use the ordinary one, and I make dumplings, though have recently re-discovered the joy of making suet pastry - gorgeous on a steak and ale pie!

I used to use the veggie version to drop dumplings into stews in the crockpot, but have just discovered I'm wheat-intolerant, so will have to rethink this winter.

We use it as a pastry topping. When having dumplings we like them crispy so I make the stew in the oven and cook the dumplings on a baking tray.
