Hmmm, just had my letter. "We'll be cutting the monthly price of your broadband" from £14.08 to £14.00. Such generosity!

Finally received my migration letter today-transferring in 'February/March' (which is when my discounted O2 deal expires).
I'm currently on O2 for line rental, Anytime calls and unlimited broadband. No Sky TV, and no requirement for it. Currently paying £14.75 per month. Sky's 'offer' is:
    Sky Broadband Unlimited £10.
    SkyTalk Anytime £5.
    Sky Line Rental £15.40.
    Total £30.40.
Less welcome discount for 12 months: -£7.50.
    Grand total £22.90.
Can anyone please indicate what I should be pushing for as an achievable target? Obviously I'd like to be paying no more than around £15 or equivalent for the next 12 months after Feb/March. Thanks.
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)
  • Same position...

Got offered 12 months free line rental
    £7.50 a month BB unlimited
    £5 anytime calls
    £75 credit

    So £6.25 a month

I ended up with a canny deal on Fibre as I have Sky TV already. Find my result on the last page ended up £12ish for Fibre and anytime as I was considering BT for the BT sports...

Thanks. How does the £75 credit get applied? Presumably you pay nothing for the first couple of months once it's applied? Unfortunately without the TV I don't think they'll be that generous.

They gave me £75 for £5 pcm BB only
  • I just asked for the service not to be transferred over as I wanted to look at other options. Deals were free flowing to keep the business

The credit goes onto your account but cannot be used towards paying for line rental saver. My £50 goes to pay for my Anytime calls.

So it can be used for anything except Line Rental Saver?

I need to weigh up the pros and cons of switching my line from BT to Sky. If I were to do so, then after a year wanted to switch back to BT (or some other provider), would there be any sort of fee involved? If so, how much?

    Thanks

They offered me £5 a month with £40 credit for the next 12 months BB only, they did mention that if I moved my phone line as well (currently with Primus) I could have 12 months free landline. This of course would be subject to a 12 month contract.
