What's the best deal I can hope to get from them.
I was given an offer of £7.50pm for unlimited BB, free Line Rental with free Caller ID plus £75 credit. If I wanted Anytime calls that would be an extra £5pm so £12.50pm with £75 credit. To be honest I wouldn't mind Fibre broadband
You'd need to ask about that if Fibre BB is available in your area.0 -
I got my letter in today that the cost will be 7.50 but we have sky tv. I think the broadbands in my ohs name and sky is in mine so hopefully i can get him to phone tomorrow and merge them so we only pay the £5 for broadband.
can i ask how people got 75 credit offered? Ive read a few pages back but cant see how you guys got it. Was it just phoning up asking to move?0 -

In my case, and also that of my friend, it was phoning and saying that we didn't want to move over just yet as we were still on a free O2 deal until beginning of March.
in most cases the £40 or £75 credit was a sweetener for moving early, especially if you were losing out by moving.0 -

They don't do any deals if you just fall in with the details of the migration letter (which means you have no contract with them when you are moved to them and can leave any time by giving 30 days notice).
To get a deal/sweetener you have to agree to an immediate move away from o2 and a minimum 12 month contract.0 -

Sorry what i meant was the price is 7.50 and i think the names on the accounts are different so i think we must have 2 different accounts with them. Otherwise would they not have quoted £5 for broadband?
i was just wondering if there was a deal to be had from having both broadband and tv with them (i wouldnt object to switching landline but thats only like £8 just now) and was curious how people got £75 on their account.
that said we already have a discount on out sky after we signed up to another year and £5 seems pretty good to me once our free year runs out
thanks0 -

So which choice did you make?0 -
I have just been moved over to Sky, having just got the official email saying the changeover has been made (I was previously notified of the time scale etc).
Do Sky run a 10 day line training period to settle the line speed etc when you move over from O2 as most new ISPs will do ?0
