Hi
No, only received a letter from Be stating that I'm moving to Sky. No offer letter yet.Sealed Pot Challenge No 089-Finally got a signature.:rotfl::j0 -
Also, Sky are charging £15 per month for BB only (the phone line is paid separately to some other company).
So the CORRECT sum is Sky BB only = 12 * 15 = £180 a year vs Probably a hell of a lot cheaper elsewhere.
In earlier posts, you say that Sky offered you standalone bb for £7.50.0 -

You must be the only one then as everyone else has been offered £7.50 for BB alone. So the CORRECT sum is Sky BB only = 12 * 15 = £180 a year vs Probably a hell of a lot cheaper elsewhere.
BB alone is £7.50 * 12 = £90.
However that's not the point really. You say you are leaving Sky, who offered you BB alone with BT (or whoever ) for line rental. Fair enough if that's what you want.
However you then say that you are going to join PlusNet as their BB is only £1.99pm BUT only if you also move your line rental to them too. That will cost you £157.88 for the first 12 months.
If you are happy to move your Line Rental to PlusNet, then perhaps you would be happy to move it all to Sky. If so their offer would be different than standalone BB and it would cost you £15 for the first 12 months.0 -
You still not got the maths right!
If infidel doesn't stick with sky, then for 12 months with plusnet (including line rental and bb) it costs £23 less than Sky will charge him for bb alone!0 -
Hi,
Currently paying 02 £16.50 a month until Mid Marchl, and that includes Anytime cards, unlimited broadband, caller ID and line rental
Got my letter today saying £20.40 a month for the above when we move in Jan. I currently have sky movies etc.
What's the best deal I can hope to get from them. To be honest I wouldn't mind Fibre broadband
Best regards

So apart from the subtracting of the £40 which bit have I not got correct when comparing Sky Line Rental and BB against Plusnet BB and Line rental? If infidel doesn't stick with sky, then for 12 months with plusnet (including line rental and bb) it costs £23 less than Sky will charge him for bb alone!
That's assuming that his BB really is £15pm which I'm pretty sure it is not as everyone else is quoting £7.50 for BB alone with no Sky TV or Sky Talk.
You cannot compare apples with oranges.
If you want to compare standalone BB then compare that. It is £12.49 for PlusNet's standalone unlimited BB. Sky is offering O2 migrators £7.50 for standalone BB.
If you want to compare Line Rental and unlimited BB then compare that with all providers.
Sky's offer works out at £15 for the whole year.
PlusNet's offer is £157.88 for the whole year PROVIDING you get the £40 cashback which isn't guaranteed.0
