    Just an update.

Like others, I've not received confirmation that I'm being moved to the back of the migration queue.

But , I have received this months email stating that my bill for the next month is £0, and that I'm still £5.58 in credit, (from start of 12mth free period), not going to rock the boat for £5. ;)
    Move along, nothing to see.

Just like you I received the letter stating call before 5th october 'to go through options'. HOWEVER email received saying the direct debit would be taken around 18.10.13 and bill issued for £9.50
I called today and was offered:

free HD tv entertainment + BB free
    pay up front £119.40
and then £5.00/month for anytime calls
ALSO £50 credit towards my BT line rental already paid.
    Just over £10 a month.

Stayed on phone for over 30mins and tried to haggle but they were limited to options they can offer.

    08002300202 option 1,5,2.
Got cut off (its was 9pm near clocking off time!) and called back saying I can have the same options and I will be called back tommorrow.

As an o2 Broadband customer, when i first got the communication about the takeover i contacted o2 and was directed to Sky and was told i would lose my discount for having an o2 mobile, so my BB would go from £12.50 to £17.50.
We were already a Sky customer with SkyTV ( basic package) and our landline with Talk Talk.
Sky would not discuss any migration plans as they were waiting for final details on the takeover.
I went onto sky.com and went through an upgrade process to see what i could get

I got BB at £7.50 /mth free for 6 months, Sky Talk £5, Sky Line Rental £14.50 and of course our Sky TV £21.50. we get free local and national calls to all landlines and mobiles we only pay for Calls to NGN numbers (e.g. starting 08 or 09).
This saves us £15 a month minimum

Wow, I didn't know about the free calls to mobiles? :rotfl:

ALSO £50 credit towards my BT line rental already paid.

How many months' rental have you still not used ? Did they ask or is this a standard £50 to cover in case they take over while you are still in contract ? (I am in contract to October 27th with my line rental saver as it runs along with free evenings and weekends for committing to 12 months)

Think long term before giving your number to Sky.

Spoken to Sky. Seems they weren't previously monitoring my bb usage but Sky have decided to monitor everyone now. They insist it's correct (although given we weren't in the house I'm pretty sure it's not possible).
Anyway long story short I've given notice to cancel.
The complete P*** take of it all, is that I can't give notice to cancel my phone line as I won't get to keep the number, and if I give notice to cancel my tv service they automatically charge me for the internet from today (not from the expiry of the tv service).
They really do want it every which way, hence I'm off.
They tried to offer me a £2 phone line discount (whoop de doo) if I UPGRADED to £7.50 per month internet. so my already ludicrous £76 per month would go UP.
Considering Sky Go never works, nor does on demand, and my router is probably their first model ever which regularly breaks down, I'm glad to be going.
Now for the trauma of hunting a new provider....
