I am going to wait until they change me over as i don't want to sign up with them for a year or so or change from bt for my landline.
I got a letter but I cant find it
from memory it is going to be £15 a month with a one month contract - speed and download limit unchanged
my internet was off when i got home :( just knocked the box off and on again and it worked
i am sure the switch over date was the end of September
how can i tell if i'm switched or has anyone got a tel number i can ring please to check the date?

    Number on my migration letter.

    08442 414 590
    Move along, nothing to see.

Well via snailmail letter I've been offered BB only for £9 a month with no minimum contract but after 12 months it will go up to £15 if I don't take Sky telly or phone. I think that will be the pattern for most . A low rate then pay a premium if you don't take their phone or TV, which is the case for most current Sky customers I believe. I have paid line rental Saver with BT so moving that is a no no anywhere for bundling anyway.
I was on the O2 legacy unlimited at 9.50 with the mobile 3 month top up so this temporary rate is slightly cheaper. But I've had a few monetary drop outs lately on the BB. Not enough to pursue yet with them but may see what the service is , when the changeover happens in Dec/Jan but will see what other ISPs can offer in the meantime and possibly move before the increase.
    We'll see.
  • The pattern seems to be that Sky will offer broadband only for £7.50 per month for 12 months in most cases (possibly to those paying £6.25 for the All Rounder which is probably the most common level), but £9 if you're on an O2 legacy package and £6 for the odd case (not sure why but stated in post 208).
  • £9 if you have the mobile discount. My offer is £14, being on the old legacy without mobile discount - hardly as generous as some of you are getting but still cheaper than moving provider.

Assuming your line rental is with BT, wouldn't you be better moving broadband to BT Unlimited at 16pm for 18 months with 6 months free and a £40 Sainsbury's voucher = 152 / 18 = £8.44 per month?

You might also get £30 quidco cashback as well.

Their offer to me says nothing about the original 02 mobile discount.
It's £15 minus a "welcome discount" of £6 for the first 12 months
    hence the figure of £9.

There's no mention of the O2 discount as there's no longer any link with O2 mobile. I suspect they pick a discount to knock off £15 to give a price similar to what you're currently paying (except for those on the 12m free broadband).

Cheeky !!!!!!s. Why would I wish to pay £7.50 per month whilst I still have six months of free Broadband service to enjoy?
Rejected their kind offer and told them to leave my free broadband as it stands. They accepted my counter offer.

    Same here.

I've informed Sky that I am staying on my current FREE o2 BB Deal. (why pay them £7.50?)

In the spring I will have the option to migrate to Sky BB or choose another BB provider.

    Review my options then.
(also in the light of the BT LR/Caller display/1571 price rise/additions)
