I got a phone for my wife 12 months ago through e2save. it was for £30 a month with a total of £270 cashback on a 12 month contract. £30 automatic , £80 after months 4, 8 and 12.
Yes, I had to ask about the automatic payment and it came not too long after it was supposed to.
Yes, I had to fiddle around with paperwork, recorded delivery, etc, but we got the cashback each time. In fact I've just banked the final £80 yesterday.
Positive:
1. Got the money each time.
2. Could make later claims despite missing one (n/a in my case, but reassuring nontheless).
3. Good deal, good phone, good tarrif (after cashback £7.50 a month)
4. Got phone quickly.
5. Looking at e2saves T&Cs and comparing with other similar websites, I find e2saves MUCH easier to understand and follow. Some others just made me mentally spin in a circle when trying to grasp it.
Negative:
1. Phone was registered with e2save as Mr. Marie .... despite it being Mrs. on Orange bill. A few calls of me pretending to have a woman's first name didn't work (the guy laughed at me ;-))Had to get wife to go to carphonewarehouse to sort this out. Waste of time really.
2. 2nd claim was rejected as the bill sent was too early. This despite when logging on to e2save it agreed with me. Though when pointing this out on third claim, didn't have a problem and was dealt with swiftly.
3. They automatically added Orangeworld (unused) which we could have and should have removed earlier. Wasted about £9 over 3 months on that.
The way I look at it is this:
If I am putting in an extra 3-5 hours of my time over a year to "earn" £270, it is time well spent. A lot more than I earn being at my job anyway. So I am willing to put up with a little bit of crap to get the cashback.
If you read the T&C and don't wish to do it then DON'T BUY A PHONE FROM THEM. I know of NO company that has 100% customer satisfaction.
However, looking at the success rate of cashback claims on this site, e2save has one of the highest. Almost 90%. http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=184723
Anyway I don't work for e2save and have not gone with them now that both my wife and my contracts are up. Orange and Three's "loyalty bonus" made it worth sticking with them and avoiding the cashback route.
Edit: Forgot that by signing up with e2save through quidco.com I also got £31.50.0 -
I am confused by which bill to send. My contract started on 27th April and the deal says to send the third monthly bill. My first bill arrived on 8 may but my account says to send in the June bill which would only be my second ? Should I send June or July ? Is this deliberate ?0

Im a guy bdw
Why are people arguing over the nature of cashback deals? Its obvious why they have the terms they do, so why knock her about them? The only useful posts are the ones talking about where e2save havent stuck to their conditions. And as you said Nick, my only gripe is the recorded not actually getting signed (altho Ive always got free stamps out of it and my claim being processed on top anyway).
are you also a e2save employee? people are arguing over the nature of the claims cos they evidently DONT pay them on time even when customers have followed the t+c's. Thats how it is and theres not much more to say is there.
Spike join the club..jus dont ring them to ask, try and sort it out urself reading t+c.
Rdouglas: thats alot of hassle uv had, having been with other companies these problems arent experienced everywhere.0 -
I was referring to :nick1234 wrote:now for the autocashback, the same deals are TWICE as much as the normal ones and why would this be if they look to "honour" and pay for all deals, surely with auto cashback they kno they wont be able to screw anyone over so have to make up for it charging more!
andnick1234 wrote:so ur actually not denying it saying e2save do rely on people NOT claiming
Its seems pretty pointless going on about that, as its fairly obvious no? And no I dont work for e2save, I wonder if they're hiring tho...0 -
To add a bit of balance...I got a phone from E2save worth x pounds, I got quidco worth more £s and all my cashback paid. Can't complain at all.

I think there are alot of sour grapes from people in here who either didnt read the t&cs or didnt send their cashback forms by special recorded delivery.
Perhaps they shoud read the threads here where people have had no problem with cashback (myself included from mobileshop)
Rebecca.e2save- thank you for coming on and answering the original post and for defending the company you work for so eleqently.0 -
elequently my !!!!. as a employee she can hardly be any other way can she, her stating follow the t+c's doesnt help anyone as people are evidently doing but not getting paid, why do u think they pay up once u treaten legal action, and it shouldnt have to come to tht. they dont follow their side of the agreement on most cases (not all). full stop.0

Rebecca. You have thanked me for this as a useful post. If you are an e2save employee could you not have answered my query !?0 -

she'll tell you to read ur t+c which im sure u have done! Trust me mate its not worth the hassle, just start a online small claims proceeding if u lose, it'll cost abt £30 to do and is simple and u can claim tht 30 back from e2save.
re ur query i wud have thought 3rd bill which wud be july bill which u get in aug?
rebecca: my friend wants to confirm if his first CB claim on one of his phones has been accepted/processed, he sent it last week, are u able to do this if i sent u the details?0 -
Hi guys,
Have you read the new T&C of E2Save?
Now they want the actual invoice. This is a change from a photo copy or Internet downloaded copy.
This means they are deliberately trying to trip up customers so that they don't get their cashback.
Their T&C reads:
The Terms and Conditions of the price match deals vary from our normal Terms and Conditions. Please discard the Cheque Back Leaflet in your welcome pack as the Terms and Conditions differ for this offer. A summary of the price match deal terms and conditions are detailed below:
Before on a 12 month contract they had four Instalment but now they have five.
Then they have this to their contract:
Your contract includes a mandatory direct debit arrangement, where your monthly line rental and charges will be taken from your bank. If this is cancelled, we will invoice you £50 plus VAT.
Should you have supplied us with your credit or debit card details you hereby expressly authorise us to deduct the above amounts from your card account in the event of the above tariff change, disconnection or cancellation conditions occurring. We will advise you in writing of any charges, should they occur. Should you have supplied us with your credit or debit card details you hereby expressly authorise us to deduct the above amounts from your card account in the event of the above tariff change, disconnection or cancellation conditions occurring. We will advise you in writing of any charges, should they occur.
And now thei new c/s phone numbe is NOT and 0845 number but a 0871 number. So the more you talk (or worse still hold on) the more they make money. Read it here:
All claim information is supplied to you at the point of purchase. However to assist, we do hold your data on our system, for ten working days after your connection. If you need assistance please contact the e2save.com Customer Services Dept on: 0871 222 5522
This new T&C seems now to be worse than a minefield. There are so many pitfalls for many an unsuspecting customers.
MAKE NO MISTAKE, THEY WANT YOU TO MISS OUT ON YOUR CASHBACK.
Do have a read of their complete T&C. Anyone but a smart lawyer will geta real headache just to follow it through.
