Our 8 weeks is up on Wednesday, we claim childcare and my husband is self-employed but they have not sent me a letter requesting more information so fingers crossed it will be done for Wednesday! Hate not knowing what's going on and why things are taking so long! Has anyone waited more than 8 weeks for their renewal to be processed. And yes I have tried to ring them a number of times this morning and I get the answer phone message with cannot take your call! Useless!0

Have just managed to get through to the phone line, and my renewal is still waiting to be processed! They said there is nothing they are looking into its just the fact that my renewal is an 8 week process, so call back on Wednesday (as that's the official 8 week date) if still not heard from them! Very frustrating!0

My renewal took 12 weeks last year, and this year it's been picked for child care checks which they have had for 8 weeks come Wednesday!0 -
I managed to get through after a wait, to a really pleasant, helpful lady. She's corrected my working hours and done my renewal plus given some advice around my changing childcare costs.
I was told 6 weeks so 29th July , but I may get two odd payments and it will all be explained in the paperwork. My income isn't hugely different and within the disregard so I don't expect anything enormous.
Pretty sure they will drop, though...
I did ask if I needed to get my invoices for childcare together (had a compliance check 6 months ago) and she said I'm unlikely to be selected for checks again so soon but can't say for sure as they are random.maemaesmummy wrote: »no joy here
I don't know the answer to your question, I'm afraid, I've never had a large underpayment so don't know if they lump it together or add it to your current years award.Bossymoo

Hi,
I have been waiting for nearly nine weeks now for my renewal to be processed!!!! I called them last week on the day my 8 weeks was up and I was told maybe there had been a technical Issue.... So they would re-submit my information and to ring back next week which I have just done. Now im being told that re-submiting the information prob would not help and that it needs to be emailed over to the renewals department as sometimes claims get stuck in the system and need coaxing through, whatever that means. I like you have not been asked to provide any other information, but I have been told that someone will ring me in upto 2 weeks time!!!. I really do not no what is going on, to say Im getting frustrated with it all is an understament. Im beinging to feel like mine is never going to be finalised.0 -
Hello! Can you guys help me please, My familly incomes are about 20 000£ before tax for two adults and one child. My WTC was stop a year ago and this year Revenue online calculator shows that we have to much incomes to enter Working Tax Credit and we can only benefit Child Tax. Information on this website shows that max income for familly with one child to have WTC must be lover than 41.200£ so much more than ours. Is our incomes about 20 000£ are eligible to enter WTC??? Please can someone clarify that...0

WTC = limit for a couple is around £17.5k with one child - not £41.2k - I should know as that is what I got told last year when we applied for it. Normally it is only higher if you claim child care element of WTC.
CTC cut off for one child with joint income is around the £26k mark, so you should still get that. Based on what you stated above it should be in the region of £30.55/week.0 -
Well today is 4 weeks since I rang and renewed my claim and still nothing been heard. I do not understand why on earth this has to take so long? I am really beginning to think they must be going to pull my claim for a self employed check. Although what the point of that is when I have only been s/e for 6 months I don't know. I would just like to know one way or the other what is going on.
If I have been "selected" can anyone tell me the sort of stuff they might want to see regarding my self employment? (Not that there is much of it after only 6 months) but at least if I know what sort of things they check, I can start making sure I have it all. I have no childcare involved and made a loss of £120 from Starting in December to 05 April, prior to December I was on Income Support so that should be straightforward and I do 16 hours a week.
Thanks in advance for any help offered.0 -

I have been claiming working tax since Sept 2012 and was awarded £27.00 per week on the estimated end of year earning of £9500
after getting my P60 i actually earned £7100
i did my renewal and was also told 8 weeks
i called yesterday just to check and they told me my payments had gone up by £1
I was expecting a refund as i have clearly not earned what the estimated i has and a £1 increase is kind of a joke
Do you get your lump sum at a later date??
my payments have already changed and i have recived the new payment of £1 more today0
