Hello yes the letter came.

I didnt give dates just tax award ending april 2013, as she said it asked for proof of invoices and payments.

I have typed the letter explaning my estimates and filled inthe form to attach to my file of documents.

I will send back so now i just need to wait and see how much the overpayment is as i over estimated slightly!

It says i have to send info back by 7th July or they will use the information they hold then they have 4 weeks to work out and finalise my award.

so i am looking ay August for a reponse i guess!!
and i think they must have already checked with the nursery or else what info have they got already!

Have you heard anything yet, it tells me to ring after 10 days and the penalty letter was quite scary!

Hi,
Im new here and was just wondering if anyone can help. I did my renewal by phone 8 weeks ago, I have just rung up to be told it is still processing!!!! they have said that no additional information has been requested but they could not tell me anything else.
Dose anybody know why it may be taking so long.... Starting to feel anxious now:(

My letter was that same i was baffled at the bit about we will use the information we have, as they have not been in contact with the nursery and the inof i have sent them is the same.. i asked the nirsery if thay have a call and they said no..

I rung on Tuesday to cahse and she said they have up to 30 days to reply after the info has been recvd.. so the 30 days is up on the 22.6.13

And get this doesnt matter if they have had your renewal for the 8 weeks this is classed as sepearate

Got my forms today, finally and sent them back. A friend of mine also got their forms today however this year they have switched it from his name to his wife's for no apparent reason.

I was having a chat to my friend today about child tax credit and she was under the impression that this year they are just checking up on people who claim child care only and doing spot checks on that group whereas our other friend says they check a percentage of ALL CLAIMS whether they claim child care or not? Who is right lol?

Surely they should check all claimants?

I will be interested to learn which friend is right from someone who maybe posts on here but works for tax credits.

I rang to renew on 25th April, was told a letter was on it's way to me abt child care receipts,waited a week for the letter which wanted receipts, rang them told them I had actually stopped childcare on the 28th March, they still had me down for childcare! Was then told I still had to send in receipts, did this on 7th May, nothing has been done, , rang them abt 3 weeks ago abt the receipts was told they wouldn't even look at them until the end of May! So 7 weeks on and I am still waiting for the receipts and my new award!

Both friends are correct, Childcare costs in the past have been subject to the highest amounts of fraud, hence almost all child care costs changes are now checked prior to or very soon after them being changed.
A percentage of claims is chosen at random also for spot checks, but they probably check child care costs first as they have a higher risk of being fraudulently claimed.

My form arrived Monday. I rang up Tuesday and there are 2 random payments scheduled to go into my account tomorrow!
Wish I knew what the explanations for the payments were as in do they replace, alter or in addition to the normal payment date. Also what my new payments are likely to be and if I've hit the magic level of getting free prescriptions however I know its a waiting game on all of those issues as don't normally get a letter as to what the payments are going to be until 2 weeks after they hit the bank. And as for free prescriptions its wait even longer to see if that little card appears or not.
