Tax credit renewal 2013

I renewed by post over 6 weeks ago, I haven't received my award yet but have had a one off payment in my bank account. This is the longest mine has ever taken.

I've received my final lot of paperwork today. My circumstances haven't changed from last year but my tax credits have decreased. It's only by £2 a week but it's never gone down before. Is this unusual? Thanks.

we reciecved our final award this morning in the post.. 9 days since we renewed so pretty quick.

Hi,

I received a compliance letter in April requesting my paper work for child care which I sent off. It was received my compliance on 18 may.

My annual review pack arrived on 22 may. I phoned to renew on Thursday (14 June) I was told it would take 8 weeks due to checks.

Will this be new checks or the child care check which is already in progress?

Did anyone else receive a compliance check letter before their review pack?

I am worried this is going to take ages to renew as I need to know what my payments are going to be!!

I have had one too.
But mine was after my renewal. Mines took 7 weeks so far from renewing!

There have been a few people on here that had them before.

It would be the childcare check they are on about.

What bothers me is they said that if I didn't send the info they would go with the info they have so why not do that anyway why take 6 weeks to request info they already have and then take another 4 weeks to do the review. It could have been handled quicker I think by not checking everyone at renewal time!

I totally agree my info has Been with 8 weeks next week and my childcare info is a month come Wednesday, nightmare

So am new to the whole tax credits scenario, but filled in my renewal and sent 2 weeks ago...today I receive a final awards notice...confused is not the word!!

It says still to be paid £3662.47 for the period 6/4/2012 to 5/4/13....am I going to be paid this amount??

Yes you should get a lump sum payment into your bank account, but what I would say is them to clarify as sometimes they do get it wrong and you don't want to be paying it back.

Is anyone able to get through on the phone line? We just keep getting a recorded message saying they are unable to take the call at the moment.
