Tax credit renewal 2013

Still not had my childcare checked compliance have had my paper work 3 weeks now. It's taking just as long as lat year.

Is it just childcare that are being sent to compliance this year? Does anyone know if self employed are being done as well?

some self employed are being checked.
My friends was done before she renewed.

It appears to be mainly childcare from what ive heard.

I had a self employed check last October.
It seems to be they a concentrating on child care at the renewal stage.
I would expect them to go back to checking self employed in bulk again after the renewals are completed.

I phoned my renewal on Friday and have just checked my bank and have had lump sum put in back super fast turnaround

i have been advised i am due a underpayment but was not told when it will clear in my account will it be on the day of my usual tax credits or could it be anyday please i renewed via post a week ago

hi there i received my renewal in early april and called to give them the earning figures for the past year, same as usual. yesterday i got a letter from compliance asking for written confirmation from my childcare provider, which is what they did last year. However this year they also asked for bank statements to show transactions to the childcare provider from april 2012 to june 29th 2013 ...!! im not too happy about giving them all our private spending details but with my online banking i have been been able to search by and download all those single transactions on one page, going back the past 12 months, do you think that will be sufficient ? they havent asked for proof of income or anything so i assume they are only interested in seeing that we have genuinely been making the payments (which we have as proved by the transaction list for that specific direct debit)

edit to add: my childs nursery costs changed 3 days ago in the run up to her leaving nursery, i called to let child tax credits know and they would not let me make the change as my case is with compliance! It made me feel really scared that they'll think i am quickly making changes!!!

Im in the same boat, ive printed off the actual payments rather than showing my bank statements. Just waiting to see if they accept them.

Has anyone that is self employed had a straightforward renewal this year? Particularly if this is your first year of self employment and you haven't previously been scrutinised?

All this worrying is just a nightmare......... and I'm due to be paid my normal monthly payment next Monday, so now I'm starting to panic over that going in as normal. Why in this day and age does everything have to take this long???

When you renewed how long were you told to wait to hear?
This seems that anyone told 8 weeks are being checked, anything less is going through quickly.
