Not weird at all! To beat the holiday blues I updated my diary and re vamped my spreadysheet. I also did a projected spend diary as well. I think it's the organised and methodical approach that calms and happy's us up0 -

Hi all!
How are you all getting on? I had a looong time where I had no internet access so it was a big hassle. However, I took ages to catch up with the April thread and I've been keeping up to date with this thread, so just wanted to pop in and say hi! I knew that I wouldn't be able to pop in every day etc, so I didn't want to commit to then fail, but I'm trying to get the debts down and I'm cheerleading you all on!
NSK - Sorry about your hol, shame it worked out that way, but you'd never have known if you hadn't gone!
Nice to hear about the baby on the way
You're all doing great with the NSDs. I'm aiming to get the cupboards emptied as I'm fully stocked up! So much dried food it's unreal, will need to keep motivated to be able to use it all!!
Have a great weekend y'all!!0 -
Hi everyone, Sorry I haven't been on for a couple of days, been totally shattered after work and evening commitments. But on the plus side I've clocked up another 2 SFDs.
I'm going to a veg growing course tomorrow so really looking forward to being outdoors. Will take a packed lunch and the course is free (on again next Saturday) so very lucky to have got a space.
No work spends this week although a colleague kindly bought me a cappuccino. Weigh in day for me tomorrow (at home as I'm trying to be mse and lose weight without joining a club) but last weekends socialising may have tipped the scales the other way.
I'll check in again tomorrow. Hope you all have a lovely Friday night :-)

Hi all,
No more NSDs so still on 4.
Food spends are up to £28 - had some bad news yesterday and only pizza would dobut that WILL be the last one this month.
I bought my shoes but not quite sure about them now so may take them back.
I went in for plain ballet flats for summer, got distracted by a fabulous pair of red patent leather stilettoes in the sale  :rotfl: which I managed to resist, and came out with a pair of snakeskin heels (not quite stilettoes but not higher than kitten heels which I can't wear). They were £15 but I'm not convinced.
So spends are
£15 on shoes
£35 on contact lenses
£6.60 on coffees with friends - one of these is a new contact and has resulted in me getting £200 worth of work so that was worth it
£28 on food
£13 on wine (one of these was bought in return for being taken out for lunch)
I've lost another pound so that's 2lb now since the start of the month.
I'm still thinking about those red shoes, they really were fabulousbut I'm not sure how often I'd wear them realistically. They were half price from £50 and are the decent M&S Autograph ones so comfy (as 4 inch platform heels go!) and good value.
But I need a concert dress and new running shoes more than I need the red shoes. Can't wait til I'm out of debt and can buy them without feeling guilty!!
Today and tomorrow and most of next week should be NSDs (apart from food).
I'm going to 2 operas and a play over the next few days, all free through my college. So I just need to take something to nibble on in the interval and resist buying drinks0 -
Morning all.
how is everyone? Im shattered and its getting me down, stressed and grumpy which isnt a good combination:( I know its because Im taking on too much but there is a pinhead sized light at the end of the tunnel:j. Anyway i'll stop moaning now, don't want to bring everyone else down.
Ive had a couple of SFDs but yesterday I was desperate for milk so picked up some other bits too. Went on a course yesterday which I can claim expenses for, so not much spent there. There was a lovely spread for lunch and it was said anything left we could take with us.... Shame I didnt have a large tupperware box with me;), although did take some bananas, grapes and packets of biscuits with me.
Today Im working so SFD me thinks, but I do need to give a colleague £15 for registering to do a 22 hour walk :eek::eek::eek::eek:for charity,if shes in.
