Went to post office today to send three parcels away to Ireland; there was a football programme in each so they were very light. I came out of the post office £15 lighter!!! How on earth can it cost so much?

On the upside... during my decluttering I found two half full Greggs loyalty cards and after a cut and stick I claimed my free coffee with it this morning. It tasted delicious and was what was needed after post-gate ;)

Kat, your post made me smile. The best thing about being so frugal is that little treats mean big rewards.

Angel, I could have written that post myself. We have had so many arguments just lately with my 14yo about the same thing. To complicate things further my boy has Crohns Disease so his eating is all to pot anyway and he has days when he doesnt want to eat and other days when he is really hungry.

I have brought my kids up to be sensible with food and crisps etc are seen as treats. We have a rule in this house that the kids dont help themselves, they ask before they get anything. It doesnt always work like that though and I dont want to stop buying treats altogether as hubby likes an odd packet of crisps with his packed lunch and why should he go without? I sympathise with the bacon thing too, DS has done things like this before too. Sigh.

Sorry to hear your news Mrs Toast. There seems to have been quite a bit of sad news around here lately, hope you are OK.

And yes, postage prices. Ridiculous. £2.80 to post a t-shirt I sold in the UK on Ebay. Hardly worth bothering any more.

Well today was a lovely cheap day out. We went to York and Mum bought me lunch. It was weird walking around the shops and seeing all the lovely clothes and not even bothering to look though. Need to finalise my June budget tomorrow - and yay hubbys wages are in but not mine yet as I get paid part way through the month!!!

Good Evening chickadees... this is going to be my last post on May's challenge.. It has been challenging to say the least.. I learned a lot about what I can survive on and what I believe I can achieve... I know this hasn't gone the way all of us have wanted but I truly hope everyone has a fresh outlook for June, a renewed gusto to give it another go and that DFD in sight...

Onwards and Upwards....See you in Sparta!!!
