I went away for the weekend, budgeted for but did overspend.
Kinda blown my 1000 off the debt out of the water somewhat!
We shall see what the damage is....
Hope everyone at least enjoyed the weather or have incredibly clean houses now!Nevertheless she persisted.0 -

We need more details lovely lady! How much do you think you can pay off?.. How much did you overspend by? Thank you for sharing though...:p“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Hiya,
Hope that you have all been enjoying your bank holiday & it's been as gorgeously sunny where you are as it has been in Newcastle. On the train back to London after the most glorious weekend with my friend & her family. Was definitely not a spend free weekend but certainly came in well under budget. This weekend will be a good reminder that it's worth taking my lunch in and being a bit less spendy on meaningless stuff so I can spend instead on quality moments that matter instead.
Was explaining to my friends this weekend about this group & what a difference it has made to my mindset. The idea of a SFD completely blew my friend's mind & she immediately told her hubbie that she was going to try 3 SFDs a week. I was surprised as she's got a beautiful house & no debt but she is eyeing up a house move in 5 yrs & I think she wants to get back into the saving habit. Kat, you are inspiring those even off the board!:idea:LBM @1/4/13 £15,754

Afternoon all - well I have survived the SHED OF DOOM!!! Car load off to the tip with DH and you can actually walk around in the shed - AMAZING! Did find a reasonable size hole in the floor though which looked a little large for a mouse and last time I checked squirrels didnt live in sheds :eek: DH can deal with that - Im outta there!
So sfd - good day in the sun - sort of - and DH pressure washed off the back of the house in preparation for a paint. Off to finish the tea now - and then collapse in whats left of the sun!
Love to all -LAGL xxDebt free on the 28/05/130 -
Hello everyone.
It seems like everybody has been busy at home today. Wish I could get some things done but am so knackered after our trip out with mum & stepdad to Speke Hall. It has been a low spend day as we had ice cream so £5.50 out of the entertainment fund.
I'm hoping MIL has some dishwasher tablets we can nab as we've ran out & I can't stand at the sink all evening otherwise my hips will go
Planning another low spend day tomorrow as have craft club and afternoon tea with my sister. Both our kids are in preschool Tuesday afternoon now so gonna take advantage this week.TOTAL DEBT £12,212.46/£2000 paid offDebt Free Goal September 2017#106 Emergency Fund £482.53/£10000 -

I absolutely love this! Well done you on sharing the SFD trend. I swear we will get everyone in the country on board with this if it kills me... Hope your friend manages a few and rings to update you.. I am curious to find out how she gets on!!!“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. We will discuss it in our regular skype catch ups & I'll keep you posted! Will be interested to see if still checking in (although not on the board) will have a similar (de)motivating effect.
Eek LAGL - that sounds seriously scary! Good luck for your DH sorting it out & wouldn't blame you for hiding upstairs til 'it' was found!:idea:LBM @1/4/13 £15,754

I am marking up SFD number 5. I am here at work until 2300 and will get home for around 2330-0000 and have to be back up at 0530 so there is no chance of any money spending now although the vending machine with rich, sweet hot chocolate is hopefully not working!!!
Read a womans journey on the front page of DFW - she has reduced her £100K debt to £20K... over the course of 7 years. She states how she has been super frugal and created an eBay store that brings in £1000 a month. I am a little jealous. This is what I need to get into!
Might do some research on eBay stores over the course of the week.
