  • Oh dear Rosie - bad luck. I was convinced I'd been caught on camera a couple of weeks ago doing 34 in a 30 (which annoyed me because genuinely I rarely speed at all as I'm a boring fart and usually have my kids in the car with me). But nothing arrived within the two week limit so I've been lucky this time - and learned a lesson. Enjoy comedy club.
NSK, hope that you're feeling better today. I lost my two front teeth in the school playground when I was 7 and have had so much dental work done on them over the years. It's horrid.
    MrsT, pleased all is well.
SS, fingers crossed for interview anyway. You never know, if you're passionate about the job that may well work in your favour.
Grocery shopping day for us today - hoping it'll be a really small one as we still have full cupboards and freezer. Just fridge and packed lunch stuff needed.
Also waiting for BT to come and fix the broadband. It keeps cutting out since we 'upgraded' to infinity (for free) and we've had intermittent service for over a month now. Feel a refund request coming on.
Then housework and off to my mum's with the kids for the afternoon. It's her birthday Tuesday but pressie is already bought and paid for.
    Have a good day all.

    Hi everybody,
Kat sorry to hear about your teeth problems I feel your pain I got so fed up of the dentist messing around with 1 tooth that in the end I told him to just take it out, luckily was at the back so not noticeable.
Checking in with 2 sfd's, yesterday was a spend day £28 in aldi when was only supposed to spend £10 but at least its better than what I would've probably spent in one of the other supermarkets. Hoping today won't be spend day town nearby has free things going on so just need to make picnic and avoid the hog roast :)

    Good Morning Chickadees!

Distinctly more breezy today but am getting ready for church and spending the afternoon at a friends house then home to an empty house as the LL is away for a few days. First Sat in front of a massive TV with SKY and Puddy-tat who has been locked in my room since I moved in cause the energetic Shih Tzu that we know live with JUST WANTS TO PLAY!!! So it WILL be an SFD!

More money came through on eBay last night and more due today so hopefully that target I set myself won't be too much of a dream..( I see others have set their own eBay budget - well done!!:T)

Can't remember who mentioned the "bite" I will be left with but I think they haven't filed my filling down far enough so I can't completely close my mouth and it's noticeable when I chew. I will have words with them when I go back in two weeks... for those that have a crown... gold will last longer and my toote isn't really noticeable from the front so it might be my colour choice... thoughts..??

RosieCheeksBlossom..I have my fingers crossed for the Speed Awareness Course and not points... sorry about this. What a horrid thing to happen to you. I was flashed on the bike in London once but clearly it had no film as I heard nothing from them... keep us posted!!!

Mrs Toast... what motorbike??? Glad the little one is having a blast and growing strong.. bet DS was a little bemused. How old is her and has he asked that age old cringe question ..."but how did she get in there?"..:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I am running late so apologies to those I have not mentioned.. I shall be keeping an eye on things over the course of the day but not replying unless absolutely necessary....:)...StationarySpender.. I have a feeling they will come back to you with something else!!! But there is no point transferring to a new job that will bore you in a few months... if it's meant to be it will happen. You are on their radar now!!!

Puddy-tat just made a lame attempt at getting on my knee and didn't quite make it..:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:...silly moggy..

    Onwards and Upwards!!!

  • Afternoon all - need to bake like a nutter in a moment spent a bit on food earlier - will update sig later. DD been to ballet DS been to rugby - they are both now napping!

Kat it was me that mentioned bite - your crown (whatever version you go for - mine was enamal coated metal I think) is held on by the "peg" mine was too high and therefore part of my bite - apparently this is not good as the peg will probably give out in time. Better to have it a bit lower so its not having pressure everytime you chew/close mouth etc. Mine caused a deep absess - in the end the peg broke off and had the tooth out :( Always makes me laugh that they ask "is that ok" when you are numbed up to the ears! :D

Right - onwards and upwards - Rosiecheekblossom - if its a one off late fee try ringing them with your best dumb blonde sorry voice. You might be alright!

    Love to all

Well I haven't had a SFD but all spends were within budget. We were planning on taking DS to the local country park for a bike ride but it poured it down as soon as we got in the car. We decided to go to the play barn instead so had to buy a monthly pass which is £16. Spent another £4.90 on tea and snacks for DH and I.

DH had to buy some lubricant for the motorbike but he's taken that out of his petrol budget for the moment as it was only £6. DS enjoyed washing the car and bike as he got drenched :rotfl:

We decided to have our monthly takeaway tonight. Spent £16 on an Indian and £3.97 on ginger beer and biscuits from Tesco. I have £20 put aside for 'leisure' for the month so all withing budget. DH was told that he only had £20 to spend and bless him, he listened to me this time :T

Should be a SFD tomorrow as visiting my mum.

Kat DH has his motorbike. It's a Kawasaki and he paid for it with the PPI money we got in January. He uses it to commute so I can have the car. Btw DS hasn't even asked the dreaded question yet. My DSis has been pregnant for most of his life so far with 2 cousins so babies have always been in ladies bellies.

Mrs Toast that's so funny.. little DS used to pregnant ladies! LOL!..

Well I am home.. LL is away and puddy-tat is having fun running up and down the stairs. Dread to think where she has been all day in the house, probably walking across the counter top... suppose I can't leave her trapped in my room...

SFD for me... so I am happy! Been at my girlfriends house ALL day and have been fed and watered and there was no need to spend any money. Biggest thing planned tomorrow is a gym session and remembering to put the bins out...;-)

Off to the land of nod now though as I am FINALLY getting a lie in tomorrow with no pooch to wake me up barking and snuffling at the door to get at puddy-tat..

    So good night world...
