So very proud of myself today. Came out of work, starving, with a migraine and thought of nothing but KFC on the way home and a quick fix. But I came home, made bangers and mash for the family and reheated myself some chilli to make mine the 3rd SFD in a row. Quite pleased with myself to be honest. Mind you, it was quite an argument with myself - I really am my own worst enemy.Ninja Saving Turtle0

Hi,
Didn't update yesterday as have been busyish but update for month to date is
SFD 2/21
Monthly spend amount £25/£200
Amount to debts £0/£508.72
Weight loss 0lbs/14lbs
DFD 17/07/2014
The money is sitting in a bank account waiting for the bill to
come in at which point full payment will be made (for once, I'm waiting on a bill with anticipation) I have a feeling that there moght be a small overage - probably about £20 and I will decide which will be the next card to be paid off.
Have also managed 2 mystery shops this month - these did involve spending but as I get the money back (& both have been approved) I haven't counted them in. This money will be put into a bank account along with amy more mystery shops and e-bay sales (which I will start this month) towards next month's bill clearance. I think once DH is out of foot pain & can start to see my reasoning he might join me on this. I'm trying to persuade him to call a card that has no balance to arrange for a 0% balance transfer on to it - he did call & was offered 4.9% but did not then ask to cancel the card as this was not good enough (but I will ask him to try again when he's feeling better).
1 pressie has still to be bought but the other was a half price meal offer for a posh restaurant - and the good thing is DH & I will take my aunt so we also get a meal out .
Diet will either start again on Sunday or Tuesday - not yet decided:o
So that's it for today folks - will catch up again tomorrow.
Good luck to y'all and have a great weekend.Debts 07/12/2021

I'VE HAD A SFD :j:j:j
Playgroup was free and my midwife appointment went well. Baby is doing fine and we got to hear her heartbeat. DS was fascinated. We had our picnic at the park but I'd forgotten some juice for me. Luckily the little shop wasn't open and it got a bit windy so we came home.
Hoping for a nice day tomorrow so DH and I can take DS out for the morning and maybe another picnic. Gonna clean the car & motorbike in the afternoon and I'm baking.
Hope everyone has a lovely bank holidayTOTAL DEBT £12,212.46/£2000 paid offDebt Free Goal September 2017#106 Emergency Fund £482.53/£10000 -

Good Evening from Scarborough
Yesterday was a SFD although I got some yellow sticker pks of sandwiches for 66p for our picnic lunch today. We called at nostell priory on the way up to break up the drive. It is NT so didn't pay as we are members. Spent £4.70 in the shop on ice creams and a rubber egg!
Got here at tea time. Went to wetherspoons for tea which cost just over £10, a bargain really incl drinks. Then £5 in the arcades and £5 taxi. So approxf £25 of budget spent today. Not bad
Tomorrow we are going to the sea life centre. I have voucher. We are planning a trip on the mini railway and some beach time and chips. All good,
Now chilling with a vodka and coke in out room in the guest house'Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass, it's about learning to dance in the rain'0 -
Evening all,
OW OW OW OUCCCCHHHH! Poor NSK! Hope you are dosed up on groovy drugs! And that you feel with it again soon.
Here.... spend targets for the month:
Food £50 - normally £70 but I have plenty in so want to see how far I can go
Fuel £20 - will pop this in tomorrow.
Spends £40/ =£10 per week
wine £16/ =1x £4 bottle per week
Totals to date
2 SFDs, Wednesday and Friday
£4 spent on food (2 reduced pizzas)
£1.95 emergency nibbles as I hadn't packed anything and had a crazy day
additional money received: £30 from a blog post competition, £50 present from my mum
I'm back running again after a few weeks off due to an injury, have got a bit wobbly around the edges so as well as this challenge I'm on a bit of a no junk food kick too. Feeling soooo motivated at the moment.0 -
Hi all. Again thanks for the well wishes. Interview this morning went well but they think I am over qualified for the position. I am not convinced I did a decent job of persuading them as in my heart know they are probably right. I just really want to work for them!
Today was a planned spend as away with my friends in York. However instead of a pricey restaurant meal, we got the M&S offer meal which was amazing & saved loads of cash. Good luck for the weekend all x:idea:LBM @1/4/13 £15,754
