  • Morning all.
First spend day of the month coming up. Think it may be a biggie and I'll be back to report in later, but it is all planned.
    1. Hairdresser for me and DS this morning.
    2. Grocery shopping day (and time to train DH the difference between wants and needs)
    3. Night out with good friend - time for wine and catch up.
    4. Above friend's hubby is a butcher so will pay for and collect the week's meat when I see her.
    5. Better fill car with liquid gold as it's nearly empty and I have a 10p off a litre voucher.
Sun is shining, it's bank holiday weekend and I am nearly finished my marking.
    :D:D:D:D:D
    Have a good day all.

Hi all, I like Rosie have just realised I haven't paid cc on time :( - no point to ask for no charge as been late few times in last year :(:(
So cross with myself as have been really good and monitoring everything but slipped at end of month and only tallied up today properly. Still within budget but gonna be a tight month! Feels like every month tight so no change there :)
Other thing is didn't get reminder for tv licence until email came Thursday to say runs out that day!! Can't afford it til end of month so feeling anxious :( I know I should know when these things are due but lost licence in separation shuffle and didn't get round to calling thinking I would get a letter with a bit of notice...well not the case! Silly me!! Should I put it on my credit card? Don't want to but don't want a fine either :(
On the plus side sun is shining and we have plenty of food in so with make toad in the whole with comforting onion gravy as have had pasta in varying forms for 5 days. Little one playing in the garden which always makes me smile :)
Also going to go through my fabric stash to see if have enough of something to make a dress I have borrowed a pattern for - will be my birthday dress ;)

Afternoon all - I hope that everyone is having their share of their glorious weather. I did spend today but am feeling quite pleased with myself. What with some vouchers and a few posints from Adpoints I managed to get a grocery bill of around £30 down to £5.12. Some of the items have gone into my "shopping cupboard" and will charge myself the real price when I use it - hoping to build up that second purse!

    2. Lose 12 lbs (4.5/ 12)

    Hello everyone,

Well I didn't go camping in the end as I wasn't very well Friday night and didn't want to risk passing anything on. OH went without me (with my blessing) and I've gone to be waited on at my mums :rotfl:

2 SFDs in the bag and my mum has said she'd treat me to something as a thank you for running her around everywhere. Trouble is, in my debt free frame of mind I refused I as only "want" things not "need" them :A. Is anybody else finding it difficult to let other people spend their money. Lol.

    Hello all,

Haven't caught up on the thread yet, will do so tomorrow but thought I'd better check in.

Saturday shopping trip - managed to stick within my new £80 budget - £73 spent (including change which has gone in the savings jar) though Hubby has rather naughtily bought a couple of bottles of wine out of his own money this weekend.

    SFD today :)

Hello everyone, hope you're all enjoying your bank holiday weekend. Just checking in for another SFD :j:j

Went to visit my mum & DS played in her garden in the sunshine. Tomorrow we will be visiting Speke Hall with mum and stepdad with our National Trust membership. Hoping for a SFD as we're taking a picnic.

  • Checking in for the weekend - one spendy day one SFD. Will update totals on Tuesday when they have gone on the spreadsheet (Otherwise I'll complete loose track of where I am!)

In other news, I've got myself a little earner on the side. I used to do freelance work on top on my job, but haven't done anything for a while. I was thinking I should be a bit more proactive in looking for small side jobs, when this one landed in my lap! Hopefully should make me a few hundred for the credit card :D and then if I feel OK about it, I can prospect the next job once this one is done.

Hi all, sfd today - at last!! Determined to be up early and catching up with chores so in bed and will watch a program me on catch up then sleep. Have found a duvet cover I was given that is kingsize so too big for my bed but perfect for doing a trial run of dress before I use any fabric that cost me hard earned cash - by the way I won't need the whole of the duvet although if I keep knocking back the cake you never know! :)

Well a very good evening to you all!!

It has been a very lazy day for me today.. I got up around 1130..( I know I know I wasted the day )... managed to get to the gym to have a program written. I think it will either kill me or be the making of me. We shall see ...:D.. a little swim and a steam and I was on my way home..

Packed away my food in the cupboards my LL cleared for me.. I am planning to use is ALL up before buying any more...although tonight I watched a little of those American programs visiting different diners and ended up making myself a stack of pancakes with syrup and a banana cut up on top...NAUGHTY!!!

Anyway... SFD for me.. and yesterday! Aiming for one more then I might have to go and get some milk!

AngelPye and Rosie - you poor girls! I am so sorry this has happened to you both.. I must have overcooked my money-transferring.. was showing as -£4.83 today in my current account. I transferred some money in from paypal but am scared they will charge me...GRR!

His_Missus.. well done on the shop and the money-tin deposit!! If the OH wants to treat you both with some alcoholic beverages then let him...:p

Jonesy- in the early days of these challenges I used to add that folk could not use these challenges as a way to sponge off family and friends - ending up for "dinner" with Mum&Dad one too many times etc... you are right. I want to save my girlfriends and family money too..so well done you!!!

Ninno - what a magnificent save!! I would be well impressed with myself if I was you! This reminds me I need to get my Tesco address changed so my vouchers some to the new house... Big :T:T:T for you!!!

£3 made on eBay for me today.. However 32b3in2013 I am well impressed with your listing!! I might add a few more tonight ...

For now I bid thee all good night!!

    Onwards and Upwards!!!
