I am off for my crown shortly. I get the feeling they will cancel as soon as I get there...again. £500 saved though and hopefully they will sort my filling that costs about £50 as well.. I am FALLING APART! More later...**sob sob**

Good morning. The sun is shining and i feel good!! Walked 3/4 of the way to school today after the nursery drop off. My stamina is improving! Start my new job tonight feeling a little nervous but am ready for a new challenge!
Kat both my kids are under the age of 6 so they don't understand about money. Well they know mummy has to work to earn pennies and they don't often ask for much cos i always so no we can't afford that or this. So every now and then when they ask for something, even buying an ice cream is a huge treat. So although it ruined my sfd it made them so happy. I can't deny them everything cos mummy and daddy were rubbish with money years before they were born.
    Oh its hard!!
Aiming for a sfd day today and i will stay focused. Hope the crown goes ok........Ouch!!

In the words of startrek.....live long and prosper. Lol. Think it was star trek anyway. Have a lovely day folks. L2B.x

I have returned. In one piece. Second round for this tooth in two weeks because in the words of my dentist "this is the biggest cavity I have ever seen" - nice! But true. Testament to my sweet tooth, soft teeth and inflamed gums. She also told me that on Thursdays they do "total clearance" - this means all teeth removed. Most patients are between the ages of 18 and 28 years old...:eek::eek:...Made me feel better and want to run out to get floss. I do floss by the way, just not very often...moving on...

I am tired and want to go home but I feel an SFD in the making so I am happy but need to hit the swimming pool today for a good few laps.. then a splash around with a girlfriend who wants to learn to swim properly...bless 'er!..

    Righto... More later...

    Onwards and Upwards!!

Oh I feel your pain. I suffer from gum disease too - when I first got it (after first year at university, too many sugary mixers at the Union I suspect!) my dentist gave me the chat including the "have take everything out before you're 30" bit. It worked too! :D Two things I really recommend - an electric toothbrush, pricey but I've had better and better reports form the dentist since I started using on; and a mouthwash for the gums - Colgate Peroxyl - once a week keeps the gums happier. And it's got hydrogen peroxide in it (to kill the bacteria) and so does a bit of whitening too!

Not much to report: SFD yesterday (bar work expenses) and another today. Spends tomorrow and probably have to do a food shop at some point. I'm hoping to hit some eBay listigns this weekend, got a big bag of carp to off load. And if there's time (unlikely) I might do a winter/spring switch over of clothes.

PS - Kat glad your coronation went well - I have also been crowned - it didnt end well for me - make sure you are 110% sure of your bite/crown not being proud before you let them stick it on permanantly. Mine was and caused many issues and I now "mind the gap" :(

    Hi all,

Well my trip into town to buy birthday pressies for DH was unsuccessful. However I did buy some face wipes n a nail varnish to make use of a B00ts voucher (she gave me another voucher too!) and some sausages for tea.

Agree with Katmachilovething. I have had serious issues too and colgate peroxyl and my electric toothbrush have made a huge difference!! Even better that my toothbrush came free as a bzzagent trial.x
