Good afternoon everyone :hello:
Not a SFD for me today as i bought a couple of songs and a happy meal (naughty me!). The sunshine is making me want to purchase a pair of sandals - i've spotted a lovely pair in N*xt for £26. I need to resist!

Hello all,
Not a SFD for me, needed to buy some foundation (not even one more day's worth left and a huge spot on my face to cover!) and other bits from B00ts today.
Tomorrow won't be a SFD as Hubby is working away so I'm going to nip into town and start picking up some bits for his birthday whilst he's not around.
Hugs to CCL xx0 -
Afternoon...
Today will be a SFD!
I was thinking earlier that people might under estimate the motivation threads like this give people.
For example, I was planning on getting some milk on the way home from work today and it wouldn't have just been milk would it... But knowing how close I was to a SFD, I resisted and I think I have enough milk left for a couple of less milky teas. It might sound like a small thing but threads like this, especially reporting in daily, really help to stop me spending on the smaller things that soon add up. Maybe it's just me...
I took my own lunch to work today, a turkey and cranberry sauce sandwich, was really good as well! Tonight it's just me in so I'll sort something from the fridge/cupboard.
Does anyone else feel this forum and threads like this have changed their entire outlook on spending? So much that sometimes you think you're being ridiculous?!! I have noticed a big difference, not that I was every crazy with money, but I would eat out a lot and would never take my own lunch to work... I still like to eat out every now and again with the OH, but I really kick myself if I don't take my own lunch in! Sometimes I feel I'm losing the plot haha!
What do your OH's (those with OH's of course) think of your money saving ways?! Supportive? Think you've lost it?
Sorry for the questions and all the thinking, maybe I should have stopped at the SFD...Save £12K in 2013 £4000/90000 -
Howdy everyone!!!
Well it's May 02nd and all is well. Ok - I did a shop yesterday, as when I actually did an inventory I had run out of veg and fruit was low, no milk and on my last tin of fish (panic!!!!). Can i just say why did I never use frozen veg before??? It keeps - tastes way fresher than fresh veg even (!) and I can have it cooked in 4 minutes!!! No excuse to miss out on my greens and no wilting moldy vegetables in my fridge anymore!!! It's genius!!!
Today was *meant* to be a SFD but I *accidentally* bought a choc mint protein shake post gym work out!!! It was NOMMY!!! Ooopsie.
I know tomorrow *and* Saturday are going to be spend days (date and my lesbian friend's hen night - obviously not butch enough to go to the lesbian stag do!!! All very confusing!!!) - but after that am aiming for a 5 day run of SFDs!!!
Bring it on!!!! Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrraw!!!

Matt2389 - You are not going mad. I think of you lot everytime I walk into a supermarket, worry about my SFD count (first one today by the way) and wonder what example I am showing my chickades if I don't live by my own standards...
I am proud of you though. It's hard to break habits but this forum REALLY does help. You feel like you HAVE to confess if you are naughty (please see Abundant's post - :rotfl:)..I am the same with lunches and always take more than I need as I am always hungry and need to nibble. But have got to the point where I refuse to buy something to eat unless I am on my last legs and about to faint...is that mad enough for you! :rotfl:
I don't have an OH but I am curious as to what your's thinks of this? are you looked upon as a wee bit strange or is he/she on your side and joining in?...
And never ever stop at the SFD.. you are new.. ask as many questions as you want. The rest of the girlies will be along soon to add their tuppence.. I believe there are some on here who have OH's that have turned to the dark side of miser behaviour:p:p and children who realise that when mummy is out of crisps she ain't buying more as it's an SFD...:T
So share away please...

32b3in2013 (assuming you are a girly sorry)....question. Just saw your sig. Is the money you are saving going towards the debt eventually or is it seperate..?
