My neighbour thought I was very odd though once he found out and proceeded to tell other neighbours in a 'did you know...' Kind of way - lol!!!

Yes, people think I'm a bit of a freak when they find out I don't have one and the first question they ask is "...but what do you do instead?". Ha ha, lots!!!

If I could sew I would never have the TV on... thats it. I am going to find someone who knows how to use it and have them teach me... I wanna make my own clothes...

We didn't have a TV until I was 8 years old - even then it was black and white with a turn dial knob thingy with a big hissing great screen inbetween channels. I think the colour TV we got following that is the one my parents still have - weighs a ton, takes up the entire table it's sat on, colour flashes on and off but will they replace it - no, cause it will be a waste of money!:T

Updated my expenditure.. found a 39p can of Pepsi Max from the 99p store on my reciepts and thought it would be deceptive not to add it in... nit picker I am!!!..:rotfl:(no it's not cheaper to buy cans of drink from the 99p store by the way... Tesco on offer has them at around 25p a can..I was just super thirsty!! :p)...

Can't wait for my shop today... can it be this bad that food shopping like a nut-nut is exciting to me???

    Onwards and Upwards!!!

Its good it excites you! Just don't turn into mad coupon woman - she kind of scares me that she will eat untold amounts of processed food because its nearly free :(

Anglepye it has crossed my mind. I would LOVE to try it but when it comes to storage I have no where to put the excess of food. I cannot bear to live on micro-waved foods and find that discounts are never given on vegetarian frozen foods etc... I have located an App though called Shopitise which gives you cashback when you buy certain items and there are LOADS available... other than that I haven't looked into the coupon thing properly as I have issues remembering to bring my Tesco vouchers at the best of times...

Hmmmmm but you have got me thinking!!..

Good morning all, I should be at work but am sitting in the garden in the sun with the bees buzzing and the birds singing...blisssss. I'm lucky that I can go into work anytime as long as I do my hours. Haven't seen Mr Sun for so long it's worth working late for :-)

We've been away too thirftylass - sorry to hear about your tyres! Car expenses are the biggest pain. No Internet where we were so I'm not caught up with posts yet.

Another few SFDs which is good but need to do more so need to get selling. Right off to work I go!

Thrifty my bike repairs are looking like £349 ( new tyres and 3 x brakes ) and it doesn't look like the old landlady will cough up enough of my deposit to cover it.. so I am screwed!

Morning. Had a day out yesterday with the kids. Spent money that i had budgeted for a works do, cos it didn't seem right spending money just on me when we could all have a day out and a bottle of wine and some beers for oh and some icecreams for kids.
Was surprised by my 5 year old yesterday. Went to buy a cornetto for both of them.......£1:30 each!!!! Got further round the shop and she pointed out the same cornettos but a box of 6 for £2.98. So we did a swap and i won't need to buy icecreams again this week! Had to put some petrol in the car too hut was worth it for the kids faces when we got out!
Off to update my budget. Thinking of buying a prepayment prescription form as i think I'll end up on two prescriptions at least for foreseeable future.

Well, just got back from town - more spends I don't need! The main expense was shoes for dd2. Returned her previous pair as already falling apart after 1 month. I buy Clarks for little feet which are never cheap but these were not fitted well and she was refusing to do them up properly. Manager said would do part exchange on half the original price towards new ones. I asked for head office number as I said wasn't good enough! They were saying part exchange as gone up a size yet those fit perfectly well- what?! Anyway after getting annoyed with me I got annoyed back and said I will do whatever gets her a pair of shoes that fits but not happy about only getting half my money back, took my mobile out of my pocket and started taking pictures of the defaults!! She then turned to a shop assistant and said just get her fitted and will exchange at the full refund price! Ha! I win! I don't usually complain but I really didn't feel they were treating me fair. I paid the difference of £12.
But, as only children can, dd2 had a tantrum leaving as she wanted her old ones! :(
