won my esa appeal after 1 year 4 months of waiting got awarded 21 points but now :s

I have been waiting for my appeal date for approx 1 year 4 months my actual atos medical was in dec 2011! i was seen today after 2 adjournments.
I was awarded 21 points from the 0 atos gave me in 2011 and now i am happy but confused, the judge told me my money will go back up as off today as i get paid tomorrow i am assuming this will be as off two weeks time then?
Also the judge informed me any monies i should have been entitled to i will get in a back dated payment? for 1 year 4 months that is quite alot do i just wait till it enters my bank or chase them for it? and what of my cold weather payments of which i have missed out on science jan 2012 when my appeal began will then come automatically also? any halp would be greatly received- thankyou for reading :T

When I won my appeal I received the backdated amount in 4 weeks. If I were you I'd call them every now and then to gee them along.
And the cold weather payments will be paid also.

hi and well done.
I won mine on 15/4/13 the claim has been going on since may 2011 so nearly 2 yrs!!!!
from what i understand from posts on here it gets backdated to the 14th wk of your claim as the first 13 are on assessment rate.
i was expecting a call back today from dwp regarding sicknotes as mine is due to run out on mon29th april as i understand when you are placed in a group sicknotes are no longer needed but if it hasnt been put on system yet i dont want payments to stop.never got the call back grrrrrr but during the phone call the lady said my nxt payment had gone out for monday but by the amount its still just the assessment amount so could be a few more wks before i get the proper amount.
so to the op id give it a wk and ring them up to see if they have recived your paper work and if your sicknote is due to run out soon check with them to see if still need them.

can i ask did the backpay go in on what should have been our payment day or just a random day?

My partner won his esa tribunual last June, and it took around 8 weeks for his back pay to be sorted, and his esa rate to go up. I think it went in on a normal pay day, although I can't remember that for sure. Congrats on winning

they will repay it however you might need to chase the cold winter part they forgot that part it took 3 phone calls to get that bit of the claim

It should be the nearest to your pay day as possible. Mine came through the day after.

thankyou everyone so it ranges from the next day to 8 weeks? :O I decided to ring the tribunal to find out if they had sent the info the dwp needed on the friday (day after my tribunal) and the lady said we now send all tribunal decisions by email and that waiting 6 weeks was rubbish! she even gave me confirmation the email had been recived and read!
I then decided to ring back the dwp as i had called them before and had the most unpleasent un halpfull lady who was in audable to me.
The next lady Ann was so helpfull and told me some people it is a few days some 6 weeks but no more, it all depends on the amount of emails and if you have any descrepincies on your claim ie you owe any money, if you have a partner n they owe any money- bla bla bla, i also asked about cold weather payments and bless her she did not no but she went n spoke to a manager and he confirmed i will get all of them from when my appeal began and that the money will be from then also as i was migrated from is to esa the 13 weeks is only on new claims.The amount of money i am given will be dependent upon what group i am put in SG or WRAG... THE JUDGE SAID I AM NOT TO BE ASKED TO BE SEEN FOR THE NEXT YEAR DOES THAT MEAN I WILL BE PUT INTO SG? I never got to ask ann that question as i had to get off the line hahah was on for an hour getting everything clarifyed but she was a nice woman which is rare so thanks ann x

Ann when you get yor money ring up to make sure you got the cold weather payments as mine was omitted it was overlokked and was another £100 for the 14months i waited
