    Hi,

'....The last time i phoned on the 0845 no, i was told by a very unhelpful girl that my case would be dealt with and that i would hear back from them "some time in the future" lol!!

The person i dealt with had very very little to say and anything i asked was replied with i'm not sure, i dont deal with this.!!???!?!?!?!

I'm pretty p...ed off with this now, but hey, i'll keep going on!!

    Has anyone got any suggestions??

Has anyone else been waiting this long just to get a 50% offer????......'
Yes. It's happening a lot. have a read of my post just above about whats going on inside and you'll see there's a lot of pot luck involved on who deals with your case. You have waiting more than long enough. Step up now. You have the option of going through Moneyclaim / Court, or the Ombudsman. Both are covered well on here. It's up to you what to do, but I would not have any more messing about.

i followed the advice on the forum, i was requesting about 450 in charges which included the intrest.
i recieved a letter turning down my request & phoned up asking them to reconsider, they told me they would get back to me with an estimated 8 week waiting time.
about 3-4 weeks later i got an offer of 50% of my charges back with no intrest.
the letter was from a lady & the letter stated if wasnt happy then i could phone her direct on a local number (not an 08 number). i got straight through after a few rings.
i phoned & she was on her dinner i was promised a call back that day, she phoned me within an hour or two, i simply said i was gratefull for the offer but unwilling to accept it, she asked me what i wanted, i told her i would accept a 100% of my charges back with no intrest & would not got to court. the lady didnt even put me on hold saying yes straight away, she told me it would credited to my account within 14 days.
i got back just over £350, i am a winner, thank you mse

    HI everyone

After following these posts and receiving an offer of 51% of what I was claiming I phoned the 01977 number on the letter and spoke to Steve and negotiated to £300 less of the full amount - £2300 to be exact. This was on Monday and I received my letter on Tuesday. Does anybody know how long it takes for the money to go into the account? Im too impatient lol
    Thanks

Just checked my bank tonight and the full amount went in today. Dont give up people you will win in the enc.

Another day, another lack of an offer through the post. I am going to try the 01977 number to see if I get any joy from it. After reading the successes on here about phoning that number I probably should have tried it in the first place.

Lesson learned for when I start my claim for my other account.

I received a letter from the Halifax stating they are declining my claim as apparently I have signed for the account and they send letter stating any changes to the account.

But I have held the account since I was 9 so I was unable to sign for the account plus I do not recall signing and returning any documents when they up graded the account. Any suggestions please? My friend has claimed with Natwest and they are paying out no questions asked!

How long has it been? I waited around 4-5 weeks then got my first offer. Called and rejected it. Have just called and they asked how much I wanted. SO I told them full amount £827 and they said no problem as it is an old account we will send a cheque. How easy was that. However, I must say I think you have to be patient in the first place.

I am working on a similar timescale to yourself. My grievance is that when I phoned up to ask them to re-evaluate to begin with I was told, because mine is an older claim, I would have an offer within two weeks. The two weeks came and went with no joy so I phoned back. I was told then that my claim had not been sent for re-evaluation after all and it would be another 2-3 weeks before I got an offer. To say I was annoyed is an understatement, especially now I am coming to the end of the 2-3 weeks I was told second time round.

I'm starting to think they are toying with me, seeing how far they can push me.
