I used 2 numbers....01977 627313 and also 01977627422....All of them were really pleasant....although, I found that sometimes the phone just rang and rang. But keep at it...they do answer....maybe it's because there are so many people calling them!!?? Good luck with your claim tho!!!
what number did you call please?

Hi I called 01977627313 and also 01977627422 and had very pleasant people helping me on both numbers. However, you might have to be patient in getting through...I think with the sheer volume of callers...they sometimes take a while to answer the phone!! Good luck tho with your claim!!

I spoke to the kind graham from halifax who got things moving and made me an offer over the phone of £1600, not budging on the interest though which I had hoped for, what does anyone think about that?

Seems to be the norm at the moment with HBOS - I took the offer as pleased to atleast get my actual charges back.
Now impatient to get the funds through now! lol :D

I have received an offer over roughly 50% as well now after calling them, which is fantastich nws, but I still will call them later to negotiate.
Ideally I'd like it all, but would probably settle for no interest. Then again, as it is so much, I am tempted to go to court and get it all?
It just seems so much more painless to accept over the phone..
Has anyone else managed to claim all over the phone?

I have had 2 claims with the BOS ongoing since March/April with no result as yet. Both claims have been handed to the FOS. I was on the website about 5 weeks ago when my neice was in and she mentioned that her partner was thinking about claiming.I advised her of Martin's site and have been informed over the weekend that he has had all his charges refunded!! Thanks to the Royal Bank of Scotland a proposal and big sparkler is coming my neices way unbeknown to her!!

hi I have a claim in for 2200 (inc interest) and last friday I recieved a goodwill letter of 977.50. I rang the halifax and told them that I wanted more as they have paid other people more than 50% of what they claimed and I saw it as discrimation to offer me less. The girl on the phone said that she would record my concerns on my file and it would be looked at again.

I have just checked my account and the 977 is there, what Now?

Do the folks at the 01977 number only work 9-5?

More or less I think - maybe 8 to 6 but don't know for sure. I'm assuming it's 'normal' working hours as I know they aren't available at the weekend.
    Hope that helps.
