Hi. Wonder if anyone can help. After finally getting a list of my charges (Originally requested this on 18th April, finally received on 16th June) I am now going to send the letter requesting for a refund of my charges. Can anyone tell me which address they wrote to when sending this letter. I don't want to have the excuses again of them never receiving anything I write to them.

    Thanks:confused:

Here is my story so far and I am not giving up.
25/5/07 received my statement of charges, this totalled up to £1275 then adding the interest on of £174.56 (total of £1449.56) which is the amount I am claiming.
27/5/07 Sent my first letter asking for the whole amount back and asking for a response within 14 days.
11/5/07 Didnt receive anything from them so I rang the Customer Service department and was passed to about 4 different departments untill I got through to Customer Relations. She advised me they have 4 weeks from when they receive the letter to reply, I stated I put in letter 14 days etc etc, she wasn't listening to me so I just said I was writing another letter. I sent this on that day threatning to go to court if nothing is done within 14 days again.
16/06/07 Received letter stating they are declining my complaint and everything was in order with the charges. Today I telephoned the number which was on the top of the letter (08451241330) and gave them my 8 digit number and the clerk who I spoke to is putting my account through again for another investigation but said they have up untill the 8/8/07 to reply. Advised her if I havn't heard anything thing by the 26th June which is 2 weeks from 2nd letter I will be going to court, which I am well prepared for. She advised me there is nothing else she can do. So this is where I am now, ill wait till a week tommorrow and if nothing, Ill go to court.
Any one got any tips for me if I can do anything in the mean time! Thank xxx

    Hi All,

Just wanted to say requested statements 28th feb got them back a few weeks ago sent 1st letter got a reply charges are fair blah blah rang the number at the top of that letter got to speak to a very pleasant woman (last wed) she asked me what I wanted to do I asked if it could be reevaluated she said yes no problem explained it could take up to 8 weeks but would most likely be sooner so on reading this thread today I rang the 01977627422 number spoke to a lovely man asked if this could happen any quicker he said there is a reevaluation team looking for cases to do so he was giving it to them immediately and I should hear by end of the week then I can call back.
So I am awaiting a letter and hopeful it can be sorted pretty quickly

Thanks to all mser's who posted that number

    Hopefull Poppy

    afternoon folks,

its now been nearly 4 weeks since i asked the halifax to re-evaluate my case and have heard nothing from then since. have spoken to them at least once a week and got no further on any occasion. threatened them with FO last week but was simpy told that they have no problem with me lodging a complaint with them but having looked at FO website, this process can take 2 months or so and have decided to give halifax another couple of weeks.

Just spoke to someone at customer relations who, although didnt sound terribly bright, adv that he will pass the details on again to the team that deals with them and shouldnt be too much longer before i hear anything.

    fingers crossed
