Charged £35 for a cheque bouncing and £8 a day for going overdrawn. Tried to get refund over phone yesterday with no joy. Went in to local branch this morning and kicked up a real stink. They wouldn't budge. I perservered noting the rather large queue forming behind me. In the end they offered to pay me £24 I'd run up in overdrawn fees but said I would still have to pay the £35 charge for the cheque. Reluctantly I settled for this. Still really annoyed about the £35 though for what was basically a standard franked letter (costing a couple of quid to actually send). Considering going through the re-claim process but is it worth it for £35? Any opinions?0

Hi
I am trying to make my online Court Claim using MONEYCLAIM.
Yorkshire Bank have not responded to my letter giving them 14 days notice!
Is there a template to follow - I dont want to do it wong!
Do I put defendants name as Yorkshire Bank Plc or Clydesdale Bank Plc?
Do I put defendants address as branch address?
Do I enter amount of claim with or without interest?
etc etc etc
Please can someone help

Not sure about Yorkshire/Clydesdale, but the address will be head office, not your local branch. It's up to you if you want to add interest.0
-
Update - it is Clydesdale, not Yorkshire you're going against.0
-
Although as the Clydesdale registered address in is Scotland you need to use the Yorkshire bank one for filing on MCOL.
And read the MCOL FAQ along with the Reclaim Help Thread which is linked in my signature.0 -
and bother I've merged the wrong threads...0
