  • Hi
I have been through the process of reclaiming bank charges up to the point where I have told Yorkshire Bank that I'm about to start a small claim in Court. When the charges were incurred, YB operated from Leeds. They are now in Glasgow.

It appears that I can only use Moneyclaim Online for cases where a delivery address exists in Wales or Engalnd. Is this so? If yes, then I will need to use the Scottish system with its requirement to download, complete and post forms off.

Can anyone advise on the above. Also has anyone any previous experience of claiming from Yorkshire Bank? Thank you for any assistance and I do appreciate that someone may have already answered similar questions however I have looked!
    Regards

    Hi all,

I've just received my first refusal leter from Yorkshire Bank for my claim of £4185. They have just reffered to the terms and conditions and given me info on their complaints procedure. I am now writing a letter to inform them that I am taking legal action. I intend to go the whole way with this but I was just looking through the stories from everyone and can't see any success stories from Yorkshire Bank. Has anyone made or currently making a claim against them??

How did you/ are you getting on?

Would really appreciate any feedback. Best of luck everyone.

Also, I am using the remplate letter on this site informing them of the action I am taking. Where it says [insert court name], what do I write, if I intend on using the money claim site?
I have just sent them a letter threatening court action that was on13/04/07, still not heard anything yet no news is goog news !!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • Anybody had any luck with the Yorkshire Bank yet!!!

    Hi Everyone---SUCCESS SUCCESS SUCCESS
Today I banked my cheque for £215 from Yorkshire/Clydesdale, so be confident they will pay out now that they have reimbursed my charges. I signed for completion for my claim, which would have been £300+ if I had gone to court on 28th April, and though I am disappointed they have still had the benefit of the interest (£100 approx to me but worth far more than that to them I expect) they have accrued with MY MONEY, I guess I will have to satisfy myself that at least I get enough to pay for service and MOT on my car tommorrow!!
I'm going over to report success on success forum now, so don't despair they are having to pay out just follow the advice on site----Thanks Martin Edinburghlass et al
By the way, if they send you a letter with intimdiating gospel according to Clydesdale law, you don't have to sign it offensive as it is. Just write your own letter of acceptance of their offer and they will pay out.
  • I went over to the court on friday and they said all YB cases have been moved to the chancery section where the judge looks at all cases regarding the bank charges and then it goes straight to a hearing (if it gets that far) all AQ's are dispensed with
  • Hi everyone I have been with the Yorkshire bank over 20 years !!!! I am in the process of requesting my statements from the last 6 years. A couple of questions, firstly do i make the cheque payable to them from another bank and put my account details on the back of the cheque ? Will they know what its in regard to ? (delay tactics seems to be the latest trick I keep hearing) Also which address do I first ask for my statements from and then does anyone know the best address to send the amount I wish to claim back ?

Any help for a newbie would be great. Thanks
