   I'm helping my mum claim against charges by Yorkshire Bank (I've successfully claimed @ 3 other banks so far) but Yorkshire Bank are really dragging their heels.
So far my mum has sent the £10 for the charges/statements - recvd @ the last minute.
Sent 1st letter claiming the money back & recvd a reply today asking for a further £10 for them to look into it! Has this happened to anyone else? Are they allowed to do this?
Please help I want to ring them up some & need some advice as to where to go next.
Thank you very much0 -

Can anyone help? I recently asked for my past 6 years statements from Yorkshire Bank and paid the £10 (as per the guide). I then sent the second letter asking for my money back. Today Yorkshire Bank have rung me and said I need to pay them another £10 for them to look into my claim?? Is this normal?? Or are they taking the proverbial?

thanks, I'm going to ring them & see what they say - i've noticed that someone else has recvd this letter recently - so I think it is a new tactic of theirs (probably trying to claw back some monies seen as they are coughing up thousands left, right & centre!)0

I saw people having the same problem a short while ago on the CAG website but I cant remember how they dealt with it - I think they just sent the second £10 to keep things going (its some sort of admin charge).
Heres the link to the site

Hi
Just to let you know ref my prev post about Yorkshire Bank asking my mum for a further £10.00 to calculate the charges....she has rung them & they have said it was an error on their behalf & that the 1st letter she sent to local branch asking for a refund should have been sent to the Head Office, hence why they were trying to charge her a further £10.00 ..... for some strange reason her local branch didnt just forward the letter on to their head office, like most other banks do...Personally I think it is a stalling tactic & probably the only way they could fund their christmas do....PLEASE PLEASE if you receive this type of letter dont send them the money, ring them to query it & save yourself a tenner.

Hi, I have just joined and have looked through the forums, as I have just had my 6 years statements from Yorkshire Bank. I intend to claim for both the Charges fees and Overdraft fees but I need to know can I claim for Debit Interest fees that I have been charged, I cannot find any thing in any of the forums for Debit Interest. Any help would really be appreciated. Thanks impy0
