    Whilst taking a bank to court is not something to be entered into lightly, you have a right to justice.

    A word of warning, though. Yorkshire Bank do have a reputation for playing not just rough, but nasty. For example, they evidently routinely advise claimants that the courts will be unsympathetic to them, because they haven't managed their accounts properly.

    There are links to threads for the individual banks on the Reclaim Bank Charges Help thread.

    i started court procedures via MCOL on 11th May & the YB didnt respond within 28days so at 12.01am on Tuesday 12th June I requested for judgement via default and full payment withion 7days...

    I rang the branch today informing them to pay the full amount(£4064.05) into my account within 7 days(19th June) or i would issue bailiffs. They assistant told me he had rang the legal department & they would be incontact....

    Just logged in to MCOL to find the courts had rejected my claim for deafault..!

    What did i do wrong & where do i go know..?

    If they file a defence, the claim will be transferred from Northampton (where Money Claim Online are located) to your local county court.

  • I have just received all of my last 6 years statements and have noticed a few things that may also be claimed back;
    Unauthorised overdraft fees.
    Unpaid direct debit charge.
    Unpaid standing order charge.
    Debit under advice.

    Are all of these reclaimable? What does Debit under advice mean?

    I also have noticed that there is a detail about cheque represented with a credit of £150 then a detail saying unpaid cheque wit a debit of £150 on the same day. This looks to me like I have wrote a cheque with insufficient funds to pay it but does this means that there would have been charges applicable to this that are claimable?
    Thanks for your time.
  • sounds like yorkshire bank to me or alliance and leicester but the answer is yes i believe. What does the statement narrative say?
