No, I'm just saying that the entire benefit system seems to be in utter chaos, and any changes, signing on or off, moving from one benefit to another or sanctions appeals take ages to sort out, and the less you make changes the better.

This is why people are so reluctant to take jobs or move within the system, they know they will be thrown into turmoil for months while the DWP sort themselves out.

Any way please let us know what happens because the DWP are throwing sanction out like confetti and forewarned is forearmed.

    ok latest

went down job centre and filled in dr7 form and filled in jsa10

the advisor i saw really didnt want to know or denied any knowledge of how things are going to go she said she would "send it off today"

i asked how long it would take

replied with "i dont know its not upto me"

with the jsa 10 i was told to comeback at 2pm to speak to someone to sort that out, so ive got to go back now and ill post what happened when i get back

I don't want to offend you, but you can ask for a note from them, which you can take to a food bank, if there is one in your area.

I wonder if they will still stop the money (they say) you owe?

Anyway, at least you know some money is on the way, a lot of people can't get the hardship payments.

You now have all that hassle with the council now, to sort your HB and CT.

I might have to do all this myself soon!

    Good Luck

    BTW

You could drop a line to your MP.

They have a lot of influence with government bodies, and you are fully within your rights to ask them to help you.

What happens when your JSA is sanctioned? I mean, what do they expect you to live on? Aren't you entitled to any JSA hardship payments?

    hi all, ok here goes

ive just phone dwp to see how much is going into my account on thursday (i signed yesterday Monday 22/04)

to be told ive got a sanction from the 9/4/2013 until 6/7/2013

    i asked why

they said because i didnt apply for a job that was advised for me on the 25th of March 2013

ok heres my problem, the 25th of march was my signing day and an advisor linked it onto my universal login, BUT , it also expired the same day!, now when a job expires you CAN NOT click apply
so i was unable to apply for it, NOT my fault

which i explained to my adviser on my next signing day (8/4/2013)
her reply was "oh sorry about that"....thats was it, nothing else, no other questions

ive had NO letters/ NO phone calls about a sanction, apart from what the dwp have just said on the phone a few minutes ago

when i signed yesterday i was there for just a few minutes, no questions about it, just quick in a nd out , no real help from the advisor

ive made an appointment to go in tomorrow and fill in a dr7 and a jsa10, and have no idea how long it will take for the appeal to be sorted

this isnt fair!!!, ive done everything that has been asked to do, ive filled in everything needed to satisfy whats needed to look and apply for jobs in past

ive used this bug ridden universal job search thing which STILL isnt working right

ive contacted my CAB and am waiting for the local CAB to phone me to arrange a meeting with them

    anyone have any help here?
