why did you need to call them to find that out? How long have you been signing?

    You need it in writing!!!

Good luck, maybe, if you get a good 'un at the jobcentre, they will just squash it there and then, take your jobsearch to show how hard you are trying to find employment and your screen shots.

They will ask you why you didn't phone them when you couldn't apply for the job on the site, I would say...

A/ I'm always having trouble with the UJM site and tried my best to get it to work.
B/ When the UJM site said "vacancy expired" I assumed it mean that the vacancy had been filled, therefore the job no longer exists, how could I apply for a job that doesn't exist?

Why is your JSA changing each time you sign?
Put in an appeal NOW in writing!

it changes because of deductions changing

eg this will make someonle laugh, i was just starting to get a deduction for so called overpayment from 1998...yes 1998, i questioned them sometime back about it as they never have proven this overpayment, 1998 was the year i moved out of my shared flat and moved in with my then fiance, my claim was being kept open by the people of that shared house, i cant prove that it wasnt me they cant prove that it was me, but i started to come out by 10.65 per week

then there was council tax/back rent figures changing

i will be appealing tomorrow at 11.45, i got an appointmet in the job centre to appeal

You can not really appeal in person as they JC there have not given you the sanction the DWP have.

They need to give it all to you in writing before you can appeal and you have to have evidence etc

There is also a time limit on your right to appeal, you must respond within ten days for some sanctions, or a within a month for others (it will say in the letter)

That is why you have to be notified in writing of a sanction.

well im not sure, i made an appointment to see someone tomorror to fill in the jsa10 and the dr7 ithink it is, there was some lass in there that helped me last time they tried to sanction me

    ill tell you what happened

bare with me its a long one:-

i used to work as a carer in mental health and disabilities, my work place become very stressful with cut back and staff hassles, and the drs signed me off for 6 months work related stress

that we to end on 17th july 2012

on 23rd june i got a letter from my then employer saying that my contract with them has ended and will stop on last working day of june

i immediately phoned the jsa claim line and wasn on phone for about 30-45 mins with them , told them everything and they said i got an interview at my local JC in about 1 week (i cant remember exact date)

    so

i went down there at said time to be told rather bluntly "im not allowed to claim JSA you need to claim ESA, as i was still under doctors sick note)
    (ends 17th july)

i said "why didnt the person on the claim line tell me this"

she said again bluntly "i should of asked"

now how can i ask about something i know nothing of what to ask for!?!?!?!

    so

i then had to re-phone the claim line to make a claim for ESA, i claimed and waited for a payment

    nothing happens

upto 8 weeks later after tonns of phone calls asking whats the latest

their answer was "were still waiting a reply from you old employers and nothing can be started until we get a reply" - (i had already given them the letter that i received, but guess what the JC lost that!!)

so, im on the phone to my employers, begging to send them a reply as ive got no money and they are waiting

they finally send ME a copy of the original letter they supposed to of sent in the post but NOT on company letter headed

JC - "ahh we cant accept this as its not valid"

me back on the phone again to old employers personell dept.
nearly 2 weeks later i get a correct company headed letter which i took down (well ran down) to JC, which they sent off to the DWP/ESA dept whatever
1 week later i get a back dated lump some of ESA

(i asked JC will JSA take over when ESA has finished
(supposedly 17th July)......did it heck, it took another 3 weeks because

"the JSA cant release any payments as the ESA is still showing live on the system", although I wasnt getting ESA payments after 17th july!!!

2 week later its sorted JSA has started

3 weeks later i get a letter of sanction for a 6 month period, stating " i left my job voluntarily"

    !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i then AGAIN go to JC and take with me a copy of the doctors sick note (6 months sicknote) and they looked at the dates and a lass there said "leave it with me"

3 days later i get a letter from DWP stating "they realised they had made a mistake and the sanction no longer applies

during this time my housing rent isnt getting paid, my debt with them is going nuts

alls fine (well if you could call that fine) until today when i get told this new sanction

as i said sorry if its long
