He sounds uncannily like my ex. Not saying this could be the case here at all, but i discovered he was using steroids which wasn't helping his aggressive nature. It just rang a bell then you mentioned he is a gym goer.

I hope you are OK, and I can assure you nobody should accept being spoken to this way, regardless of the situation. I am so glad I can breathe again and not walk on eggshells. Good luck and I hope this improves. xx

    I have wondered this TBH.

Minnie, have you talked to him about any of this? How do you think he'd react if you told him he made you sad? Do you feel able to speak to him? The worse situations are those partners who make their gfs feel too anxious to speak up

From that list, my ex displayed a whopping 17 side effects, and I still didn't see it until it was too late. His lies got seriously elaborate to cover it up. The acne on back and shoulders is a visible indication along with extreme moods. If it turned out he was using them, he may not admit to it. xx

I am amazed that you have time to post your problems on here and asking stranger for advice, but not making an effort to sort this out with your OH and looking after your son

It does but I think you need to try. If neither of you speak. .. him bashing around and you withdrawing it will never solve itself. If your frightened to speak to him, well that's a different matter altogether. If not It depends what you want really. If you want a happy relationship with this man it may require leg work from you just go get you both talking. If your just fed up completely, well I wouldn't advise you to stay , put it that way . When did this behaviour start? Could you withdrawing make him feel your not that bothered? Lots of things could be going on here but in your heart of hearts only you know how you really feel and whether you want to be with him or are putting up because you fear the alternative

There is a major anti-men bias in this forum. The general way threads start are

OP: I hate my husband/BF. He did this/that. He never listens to me. He is the worst person on Planet Earth.

Reply1: Your Husband who I have never met in my life sounds like my husband/bf. Get out while you can...

Reply2: He is a ******* You deserve better

What always strikes me is the non-objective nature of the replies.
Whether they are male/female we don't know the facts.

That does indeed make perfect sense. Please OP, see a doctor and tell them how you feel. It is never easy to sort a problem if one is not always thinking clear. Confusion can always make one withdraw. Once you have made a start, you can then face your problem and make clear decisions. Above all, you must do what you feel is best for yourself and your child

The point somebody else made about the gym and steroids is possibly a valid one. How long has he been attending , and has his physique changed dramatically in that time? He may be using the gym as an escape, whereas your love for your son keeps you tied

Sorry for interfering, I don't know how you feel, but I do feel for you
