Storecupboard forager - LOVE it!
BF has been overnight oats for me & teacakes for OH...
Lunches uninteresting bits from the fridge...
Yesterday's dinner was a frozen chicken pie (which OH insists does not count as it never actually made it into our freezer at any point) and fresh broccoli - very yummy!
Tonight we had cheap freezer burgers on wholemeal buns with fresh veggies & cheese slices from the back of the fridge!
(we will have to do a few veggie meals to make up for all this meat that is being consumed!)Pippilongstocking wrote: »The stripey 'Edible Wedding Woodland' - what do you all think?...
Pippi your woodland idea is just brilliant - so very much in keeping with your eco theme - I'll bet all your guests will love the idea! (dare I say that some of us on here would also like to contribute to a tree as well - would you be OK with PMing the details to those of us who asked?)Loving the progress of the storecupboard/freezer challengewith RT too **waves**

Oh definitely! Setting up an account with a tree nursery sounds brilliant - its natural that people want to give you wedding presents, its also natural that you don't want **stuff* - so let people contribute to the things you do want. I've certainly gone online and logged in to a place like Debenham's to find a wedding gift list for a wedding I'm going to.
Loving the progress of the storecupboard/freezer challengewith RT too **waves**
and I vote for the 17p, not the £5.17 too :rotfl:
Just a thought - if the nursery *doesn't* accept other people's money into an account - set up an online pot in one of your own accounts, and just get people to send the money to you. I've done that too - the French wedding I went to last year, they were already set up with their stuff, well paid jobs in their early 30s, so they asked for contributions to their honeymoon account, and thats what I did. Simples :j
Good idea there KCpeople just send you money - fwoar how exciting. I do have a pay pal and the tree people take pay pal.
Ponders.
The tree people were very bemused indeed and think I may have hit on a whole new business for them! Their web designer is looking into how easy it is to take an online payment for such a lovely idea :Brilliant idea re trees as people know your ethics, and saves having 20 toasters.
Just one point madam - YOU ARE NOT OLD - your 21 with some life experience behind you!!!
xxxx
Experiencedthat's me. Thanks that you don't think I'm TOO deranged regarding the trees
I to vote for 17p.
Love the tree idea and if it can't be set up at the place a personal account that they can pay in to sounds good
Thanks Taxi - seems sensible to at least try.

And if I can get the tree thing set up and anyone wanted to throw tuppence at it for a wee sapling - that would be really lovely and appreciated but there's really no need you all do so much for me already.

Hey well guess what.
The tax credits seem to have given me some money - does that mean its sorted?
Watch this space to find out.;)
My pay rise/extra hours went through.
My teaching hours have been increased - although they're still ad hoc - I have a day a week now.
My evening class (extra hours) is also going ahead.
These things are all good as
I'm only employed here until late spring next year (June/July is spring right?) and I need to clear the last of my debts AND perhaps save some money for a cushion for leaving until I find work.
I've lost my ex-husband to New Zealand and that makes me a bit wobbly regarding the support he directly gives the kids, so I need a financial back up. I'm being my own back up
I've a wedding share to pay for in cash NO credit and that IS achievable.:T
I am going to try pay HUGE chunk off my CC this month as I won't miss what I've never had so the wage increases can just be creamed off.:D
If I'm working I'm not spending
So whilst its all a bit crazy in the finances front, I'm attempting to keeping on top of it all.
Other exciting progress this month
If we manage the store cupboard challenge we can use the saved money for the trip down to take DS's things to UNI
My CC will be looking better
My food shopping addiction is getting some attention.
:A
None of this possible without all your lovely support.
