Thanks L
Just in from the boat - Yawns.
Did a wee bit of essential shopping
You know the kind washing up liquid and dog food, the food essentials were really fruit and alike - milk too for DD being home.
Spent £5.27
So that's me at £5.44/£50
Made up tomorrows sandwiches for brekkie/lunch from frozen flat breads and eggs/spinach.
Problem with making up sandwiches is that you then want to eat them
They're calling to me from the fridge.
Out for a lot of the day on the recycling van picking up stuff. Should be a NSD for me.
Be a busy one as we've two events on Sat to get sorted for too.
DD is back from uni trips and very tired.
Poor lamb.
Have a great weekend - I'm working all of it - but keeps me out of mischief.
Hoping the wages clear soon so I can do inroads into my CC.
I also got offered a cabbage for some tomatoes today over the phone so I'll do that black market swap over the weekend.
Dinners out for tomorrow, brekkie and lunch is sorted.
PS cupboards and freezers not looking any different.Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.
Total debt as of 28/4/19 £7867.38:eek:

Have a good - and safe - day out and about in the van Pippi.
Hope DD liked all the Uni's and they liked DD, so that she has plenty of choice come next September - although obviously rooting for DD to get in to No1 choice with flying colours

Greying
Thanks it was quite fun actually.
She liked them all and is now more confused. She preferred the rock in the middle of the capital uni before she went to the others.
Rock capital uni is lovely but its a bit spread out, whereas Jute&Journalism uni was more central as was the granite city and the wan o'vr the west.
Good to have choicesI guess given she wants to be yielding a stethoscope it depends if and who gives her a shot.
Rather her than me, its so competitive - I think I'd just hide. But then again she's a real worker.

Goooooooooood morning world
Todays great excitement is thus
Work
Work
Work
Swap some tomatoes for a cabbage - doubtless on a street corner whilst wearing a dodgy trench coat.
Something yum for tea
Walk el hounds before and after work - the 'staff' at home can do it during work for me
Speak to mr me on Skype - think he's due up tomorrow
Bit washing later
Bit of a flop in front of fire later with a movie
I may cuddle the indoor staff, but only if they've been good.
Have a good un!
98p spent on milk yesterday - you can tell the ex-cellist is a tea wifey can't you.Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.

Does it not also have an influence as to what those city uni hospitals/training centres have specialisms in? Would that sway any future decisions? And is it wrong that I'm chuffed I know what city's you're referring too??? :rotfl::rotfl:
But you're right, wonderful to have choice, and good that they clearly all had something to offer. I'm sure you DD will accomplish all the work, and pick the one that offers the best. I admire her career choice.
Have a good day and an Ay up :hello: to all Stripey Gang members.

Good point greying - re the specialism.
I've a biased towards the two I went to
So it's rocks (planty stuff) or journalism (accounting stuff, dont judge) which get my vote :-D
Right have a good un I'm off to try impress young minds with a bin full of rubbish :-) wonder what all the other scientists will bring :dTotal debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.

:eek:Yikes:eek: - slipped yesterday and bought 3 camembert wheels for 35p each! - duly in freezer - SIGH - at least it's not meat?
what does one do when the local shopgirls know you & say - we have an amazing deal - clearing out most of the french cheeses!
got home to find a block of low-fat cheddar, a block of pecorino and a chunk of brie were already having a freezer party! - 3 new friends wrapped against the frost and duly added to the drawer - OH MY the guilt!:o:o:o

Greying slopes in and nudges up to rtandon27 on the *norty step*
'I Greying have come to confess that I have just thrown out (composted) a 400g punnet of mushroomsI bought 2 YS'd punnets earlier in the week with every intention of processing them for meals that we would have throughout September, therefore saving cash. I only processed one punnet, and the other has sat sulking in the fridge. By today the contents have gone past the point of trimming, wiping or resuscitation back into existence. And so had to be cast out. I am guilty of the sin of food waste.
