  • Todays great excitement is that I've not been inside a supermarket.

    In real life.

    Lunch was leftover chicken
Tea thus far has been reduced bread and a cupasoup
Second tea will be something from the cupboards.

Its rank out there and wet - I'm only just dry and warm from a day of sogginess.

I've a garden to go and see but I'll contact the lass and see if we're on or off tonight - looking at gardens in full sog mode isn't fun.

The gal child has texted from the big smoke - alls fine.

The man child put the fire on and made me a big bucket of sticks from the free wood in the garage. He's a nice boy.

Doggles are soggy but drying out nicely by the smell of them - ergh.

    So a NSD.

And my grocery £50 thus far is still intact.

    :D

    all sounding good except sogginess
  • Ay up Pipster,

Just found the perfect recipe for you and your 'fubbet' planning chumz. Given geographic differences and changeable climatic conditions, Wik will have to be in charge of providing the blackberries, and the stripey gardener types will have to be in charge of sourcing the rose-scented geranium..................

    Recipe HERE

The rest of us berry picking folk will have to contend with judicious experimenting with rose-water................:D

    Enjoy

Second tea was HM cheats sushi

Lots of rice cooked for more tasty snacks over the next few days.

Cooked up a pile of meatballs with mince we got out the freezer and a 10p bag of seasoning (bbq) will serve with excess rice and flat breads and/or pasta for a second/third meal.

Also cooking up some reduced sausages instead of buying ham for the boy who munches toast (instead of the boy who lives)

    :)

Kitchens half way to being clean.

    Can't rush these things

Watching jamies frugal meals or whatever it is on +1

in between the cleaning and the blogging - my own challenge is official now - EEK!

Any one fancy joining me on a scoff the cupboards in September although I know I shamelessly stole this idea from EH I'm sure she doesn't mind too much?

Recipes and food diary exploits etc will land up here in my alter ego scoffing witters.

Feel free to ignore links, its more to keep me going on track and find stuff.

    :)

  • A very sleepless night last night.

No idea why too much stuff rumbling around my head I think.

Yawns just sorting self out for the day been up for a bit pottering.

Working but a later start today.

    Must walk dogs
I think I'll get my work cheque today :)
Meat balls are made for later from old beefburgers lurking in the freezer and the last of the tatties - I've got a preview at lunch with my smaller portion to take with me - still miserable here so comfort food it is.
Possibly popping by on a chum later today so I'm thinking of making some some scones with sour milk - perfect. *well that thought was perfect until I remembered the flour situation.

May break that £50 after all.

Life without scones isn't worth thinking about.

Oh I remember your 15 minute scones! And I didn't realise the wee lass who eats was you - I *have* to follow that, I really like your recipes. Thanks for putting the linkie up.

Soggle doggles :rotfl:(I'm just free associating there ).

Greying, thats an interesting link too - it sort of confirms it, sometimes you don't need all that much to make everyday things really special. The fubbet will benefit, I'm sure :kisses3::kisses3:

Really sleepy here just couldnt' get to sleep so plagued the world of blogging with random rubbish and finally got off to the land of the zeds. Its quite fun really getting back into it, for long enough I've nto been in the mood (and free!) and I'm trying to find a book deal :) (really that bit is a joke but wouldn't it be fun to get paid for wittering)

I know I'm on a £50/month grocery challenge - but we need flour - pesky mites.
Banks to check as my wtfc is still not sorted out.
Working and dog walks to do
Meet up with a chum later but combine with a work trip to other job (learning factory) and see if the evening class I'm running is going ahead and raid fishboxes for veggies including more tatties
Tea is done 4 portions off and trying to eek out to 5 by sneaking some for my HM lunch. Thanks KC for the inspiration to get it down the day before.
Need to see if I can do more 'I do' admin
Set up wholesale account for edible 'wedding' woodland
Try and walk 5 miles today
Charge phone at work - thanks for reminding me of this
Hang up Hokey cokey to ensure it doesn't get washed twice
Weigh self and see if frugal fooding has allowed any weightloss yet - my wedding frock fits - I'd just like my cheekbones to be at the ceremony too.
See if I can pay some off CC
And BANK work cheque when it arrives in my sticky paw today.

Not sure what else yet - hoping a NSD or a LSD as really do need flour - I've milk just turned and I must either freeze it or make scones/pancakes with it.

I hope we all have happy days today.

Now - where to find a publisher :D

ETA wtfc have put a meagre amount in my account - as fearer its really not much but I guess that means its been processed. :)

ETA - waves to KC - thanks for the compliment regarding food. and the doggles tip a paw (well the one that is awake does anyway)

I am a very peedie lass who scoffs :)

Fubbet plans are under construction and the 'free' recycled slate table mats are now buffed and polished - all 20 of them.

Aunty Wik's papa is a trouper and seemingly a little black when he finished.

    Mustttttttttttttt get to work

    Waves!
