Hey :A chaps
Long time no see.:j
I know I've been neglectful of my finances (and MSE) since starting work last year. And, to be honest its cathching up on me. I've not a clue where my money is going.
So here I go again, new diary, new focus.

Will pop in some blethers here to update on the old family status and the focus of new beginnings coming up soon.
Hoping you lot will keep me on the straight and narrow.
:A
When I started on here many moons ago I was about £35k in debt. Now I've just got the pesky student loan (£14K), a car loan (5%) 2870/4950 left to pay, and penguin chops (0%) £1320/£2745 and I live in and out of a couple of £1k overdrafts.
I've £750 on one CC mainly work expenses and just need to check the other but its not as low as I thought it was.
Total debts are in the region of 6945 + 14000 student loan = £20945, hmm plus £3800 on a card which shouldn't be that high. Argh we're just under £23k some folks never learn
Really need to get those smaller debts paid as hope to leave here with only the student loan lurking in the background.
Still having paid off over £14k since being on here, whilst its not as much as some, as a wee wumman not earning much, its made me quite chuffed.

Ok so the old finance a roonies.
Working self employed - baseline is generally £1400 but dropping potentially to £600 at the end of June due to a change in my main self employed place. But not sure yet. Bit of a worry.
One child at University who needs a bit of financial support
One teenager at home (16 going on 30)
Two pesky hounds
One very part time partner who lives 300 miles away at the moment but I'm moving down there and we're hoping to buy a house together in 14 months when the teenager is ready to leave school.......so I'll be moving to a new area, I won't be working initially so I need to fathom a 'make hay whilst the sun shines' plan whilst I'm working up here to give myself a cushion before I go.

So I did the budget thing and I came out £47 overspend each month.
Must review that, I know it's not much but it's an overspend which means I'm not saving.
Sinc working, if I'm honest the grocery bills have expanded somewhat. Years of not much spends I guess we've gone a bit crackers buying full price stuff, little meal planning and hardly any bargains.
Must review this.
Meal plan over th weekend must be done. I hate meal planning, but it works.Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.
