Ah the expenses - the first of 3 claims - I wondered why my CC was a bit ouch.:money:

You see now I want to be a carrot dr. I wonder why you struggle to grow them......and beans - well tomatoes hopefully this year you'll go well on those ;) stick to bush tomatoes - much less of a faff.

Ponders developing a year round class................some local garden groups have local guest speakers (which is where I learnt alot of local knowledge), transitions groups often have veggie workshops.......

Maybe there's a niche in the market - maybe I won't be unemployed after all when I move down - maybe
I can be a mobile veggie gardener helping out and tootling along in Darwin (campervan)

    :T

    'The carrot fixer'

:rotfl:I can get called in when folks have rampant weeds and sulky carrots:rotfl:

Ok clearly I've not had enough sleep.

    Washing machine is on
Tea for tonight is on (spag bog)
    One mutt is walked
    Coffee drunk.

Off to check banks and pay my expenses straight off my cc

Where do I sign up for these courses :)

When u move it won't be as far a journey :)
  • Ha, you'd die of boredom!

Up with the skylarks need to sort car and get ready to go, soooooo tired, lots breaks on journey today, I think.

Won't get petrol until I'm off here, much cheaper on the mainland.

Done some cooking for dd and left her lots ingredients. She can cook so she will be fine.

She's done her washing and it's all hung up (clever dd) so she's pretty sorted for the few days I'm off.

Need organise clothes from wardrobe for conference.

    Coffee first....

Hello , just found your shiny new diary and only had 4 pages to catch up on , that makes a change. Yay.
Ive been out in the garden today cutting the grass for two hours and looking at the veg plot, what there is of it,
a sorry looking globe artichoke , lots of garlic , a few leeks and chives. (you see a theme developing). a rosemary bush , and wild garlic. some grass and assorted weeds.
All things that can take care of themselves. I'll have a beetroot handout if your still offering.
    Have fun ,cheers.

Hi Pippi! I know you're away right now, just thought I'd say thanks for the linkies, that twist and spout one is very stylish. I found this in my stash, while hunting for other things:
    http://www.greenfingerscharity.org.uk/promotions.html
The bottle top waterer - I have to say, sadly, it doesn't fit on any of the bottles I have available right now :( though its a great idea. I'll keep trying - there's a glass jar that currently has oil in, that might fit when I've used the oil.

Have a wonderful, wonderful weekend :)

:hello: to the rest of the stripey gang too - newbies, regulars and legends - hope you are all well.

    Gotta dash,

    Greying
Pounds for Panes £7,005/£10,000 - start date Dec 2023

    Grocery Spend July 2025 £191.42/£300
    Non-food spend July 2025 £65.39/£50
    Bulk Fund July 2025 £9.10/£10
  • Aw shucks chaps - nice to see you all and [waves] Greying - indeed I have returned from adventures a year older, but no less wise. :)

Looking at my bank though aside the travel (paid by work) I spent under <£100

And, I've come home with a MOUNTAIN of birthday cheese and bread - as I don't like cake this is a very good positive.

    Sushi with a chum
    Chinese supermarket splurg
Travel for DS at uni to come through
    Some nibbles and wine
A treat for DS (some socks and a jumper from chubby face - we had a voucher)
Car seat belt for the monster puppy dog who likes to boing around the car when I'm driving (not cool)

The rest was really walking on beaches and looking at houses (free) and any grub we had out (dim sum) or by the beach (fish and chips) or in the float (takeaway) Mr Me treated us too :) or Aunty C (carpet picnic)

It really was a walking and eating and walking and eating weekend.

    :)

Done the banks off to catch up on you lot then write my list.
