Oh they're classy (the boots, I mean). The pic that the first link goes to is ... yep, I think you called it right - its gross :( _pale__pale__pale_

The welliefest looks like its going to be glorious!
2023: the year I get to buy a car
  • Ah, now you see Pips, I'm disappointed in ye. I figured that for sure that the 'Wellifest' festivities would be seeing you shoe-horned into a fine and dandy dress and that the wellingtuns would be matched accordingly.....

I figured you'd put in an order for THESE already, so dainty and good fer dancing along to the band too.......:D

Ah Greying so sorry to disappoint :) as beautiful as those you've shown are, they (the chosen ones) certainly aint going to be dainty, being practical to the end, my wellington boots will be well used afterwards :D and I fear those pretty ones would shirk and shreek at the mud that intended in their future......:)

I did however draw the line at them being steel toecaps and yellow like my work wellies - despite the risks on dancing with the rellies. :D

My frock is a 3/4 length so I'll just peek a glamorous shin of wellington downwards.

Although I am reverting to some feminity - I have a pair of heels for the evening affair (with the grub and the dancing). Charity shop of course, I need the budget for the wellingtons, obviously.

    :D

KC - I do hope it will be glorious, its quite nervewracking.

But we do have gorgeous napkins :)

Wik and I are meeting to plan the fubbet (much funnier word than buffet) in a mutually central place where Gin is free flowing.

    All fubbets are planned thus.

I've got the fire on and the stores have been raided for tea.

:) off to do some welliefest admin.

And I wrote a wee moany blog which I'll apologise for now, August has been a hard month.

  • Wet and wild through the night here (weather not partying)

This morning looks grim but calmer.

I've eaten the last banana, I do worry for my potassium levels :)

Coffee is being a slurped before we head out the door.

The dearest daughter is now in the big smoke *Edinburgh* taunting me with texts of trees which are the right way up (ie not sideways) and talk of trains (I love trains).

Today is working mainly paperwork and the garden visit of yesterday needs to be done today as it was TOO squally to go look.

Hope you all have a good un.

I am going to withdraw £50 today for groceries for the month, mainly fruit and milk - veggies may just occur randomly as they did yesterday. I will only spend this money this month (I hope)

    :)

Have a great day and in the wonderful words of GP - thanks for popping over and contributing - really appreciate it.

And if you have any tips about NOT food shopping for a foodshopaholic - these will be much appreciated.

    :D

    49 days and counting.

Here's a food tip: don't look "just in case" :rotfl:

And actually, something my mum does - think about what you're going to eat *tomorrow* evening - take it out of the freezer, and put it in the fridge to defrost slowly. Sorted :rotfl:

Love the wellies. And so what if you *were* a label welliest - the amount of time you spend in them, you need quality :)
