The danger with this is the court may view it as swinging too far the other way and order back payment of any spousal support (IF granted) and ignore the payments to the kids as they are gifts.

In Jack's shoes I would send the CSA amount to the grandparents as he is living with them and an amount towards bills (possibly half of the basic expenses for one person not three and cutting out hair, nails, petrol beyond local trips etc). This would put her in a position to sign on and might get her off her bum at long last.

    This is the email I would send to your ex;

I am letting you know that from the 1st October 2014 I will be withdrawing your monthly allowance. You will have the use of the car till the lease expires (give date)

I will be sending (daughter) £300 per calender month
I will be send (son) £300 per calender month

I have come to this decision as (daughter and son) are not living in the family home.

This will be implemented until the court decides differently.

Sorry Jack if this comes across as very rude but I am so angry for you.

IF it will be backdated the payment would be spread over period of time , jack
would have house equity at that time . In any car it is better to pat something.later than in.advance. the advantages of stopping it are many on different fronts. Ex will get in gear and will beotivated to get it sorted with.cours asap while now she stalls. Court may not award it and money will be saved. Sheay be kicked into finding job and arrive to court in better financial position. And finally if jack will have to stop paying his kids because of maintenance aymemt his ex will be seen as taking money from kids , not he not paying !
The word "dilemma" comes from Greek where "di" means two and "lemma" means premise. Refers usually to difficult choice between two undesirable options.
Often people seem to use this word mistakenly where "quandary" would fit better.

I’m conscious with our daughter in London now you may wish to be available for work on the coast either by staying at your parents or renting a place of your own once you’re earning. Renting our house out will incur a number of costs and risks e.g. boiler, so maybe the price could be dropped to £300K to see if it creates interest for those who set it at their limit.

I will be taking out a short term bank loan to clear my credit card debts.

My voluntary monthly payments to you will revert to CSA recommended £650/m from the next payment date 25 October 2014

I guess you’ve already registered with recruitment agencies. Our admin staff here come from these companies, we don’t advertise. Registering with these companies will give you a greater chance of work or if not maybe some work experience that could help your future chances of being independent

    Here’s one we use:

    Here’s one more widely known:

Too much explaining and reveransing in it to my liking , the more one tries to justify the less others think he is right. Prepare for a storm. Hope you have thought about children - whether you.going to pay them , what will you.write to.them (as they obviously make financial state of your ex a matter of concern ) etc.

Neither are financially supported by Mum or even live with her though . Mum's child support payment is for a child who currently lives with his (wealthy) grandparents not her. I suspect when this does get to court the fact he lives away from home with be of a lot more importance than Jack realizes.

I have my daughter to let me knowif there was anything that her mum paid for her. For example her monthly contact lens payments.
