I've changed my due date after seeing the midwife and am due a few days later instead.

We had a little scare over the weekend as I started bleeding and having stomach cramps. After already having one MC we were hoping that everything would be alright. Midwife referred me to EPAU at the hospital and we had a scan yesterday which confirmed everything was ok, that was a relief seeing the heartbeat I can tell you!!! She also confirmed there is only one baby in there, which was also a relief!

What evil person came up with the name "morning sickness"! It lulls you into a false sense of security, its not morning sickness its all day feel dog rough, want to crawl up and die sickness! I think the eat little and often helps a bit and getting as much sleep as I can does too, but with a 13month old it can be difficult!

Anyway I'm rambling...Hope everyone else is ok, good luck with the upcoming labours for those due to pop!

i find this to be great for finding local stuff on ebay (just change the postcode to yours!;) ) and click on baby section. http://www.localbargainfinder.co.uk/
have seen a few recommendations for kiddicare, they seem to have good prices.

thanks for that. just had a nose. I will be using that link a lot when we come to start buying things.

Thanks for the tips, got a few months before pressure is on so hopefully things will crop up on ebay. I really do not want to spend silly money and my oh who is a builder/joiner refuses to spend hundreds of pounds when "its just mdf...." He would love to build the furniture however he's too busy so its not very cost effective :(

I haven't heard the heart beat, a bit miffed really because i had a stand in midwife on monday and all she did was do my bp! I'm thinking of going to the docs tom anyway just as a precaution as i'm really suffering with abdomen pain which i'm assuming is my muscles stretching i just want to be extra sure so hopefuly i'll hear a heartbeat then.

2 weeks and 2 hours until my 20 week scan (a week early) cannot wait as i'm desperate to find out what i'm having xxx

Sorry to hear that the stand in midwife wasn't up to much. She should have done more than that I would have thought. Mine filled in some more bits on my 'notes' and went through my blood results with me (following my 12week scan).

I would go the GP. I was intially meant to see my GP for the heartbeat, but he has left the surgery so the midwife told me to come and see her. That way you can hear the heartbeat (they use a hand held device) and speak re your abdominal pains.

I know everyone is different, but I am getting pulls and twinges here and there, and i think it was the babycentre email that said they are my uterus stretching so as to get everything ready.

    All the best

Hi Millies Mum. Are you all organised for Millie's birthday next week?! Will she be 5? We are just having a tea party on Sunday for our family and friends. I still can't believe Poppy will be one! :D

    Have a lovely hol, Shellsuit!

r.mac, the heartbeat should be checked every time you see the mw from now on. Good luck with the assessment!

Hi Jetty! I think Pollyanna is nearly due now! ;). I had the glucose test last week and should get the results anytime soon.

Fritha, so looking forward to you reporting back!

    Has Sarah logged on today?!

    Hope everyone is well xxx

Here I am!! And yes I am almost due! 37 weeks and 1 day (although I am still convinced I may be 39 weeks and 1 day). I am huge!!! And it is getting really hard to sleep at night. I feel that I am "ripping" something when I try and roll over. I find it hard to describe to people, but if I'm on my side and try and roll over onto my back, it's like I'm dragging dead weight (which I suppose I am really) and it really hurts right down the bottom of my bump.

I had a little section in my pregnancy where I got over the absolute fear of labour and childbirth, but it's back now that's it imminent! Sarah's story scared me a little as my fear is being cut or tearing and I keep forgetting to do the perinial massage (not that I'm sure if it works or not). Don't know why that scares me more than anything. I have a pile which hurts every now and again and it does at the moment (sorry if tmi), and will this affect anything? I don't want doctors poking fingers up my back passage thank you very much!

Does anyone have any good vibes to give me about water births? There are two pools in my birthing centre and I am thinking of using one, but haven't quite decided yet (plus it depends on if they are free when I go in I suppose).

I've done lots of walking, s e x ing, drinking pineapple juice and I am sooo ready for her to be out!

By the way, I've probably said it a million times, but the name we have chosen, we chose when we were 18 and messing about, but it is half my name and half his!
