I am trying, I am trying
Think hearing bub's heatbeat yesterday was really good for me.
Still very emotional, but that's nothing new for me.0 -

A cardboard crib..... errrmmmm why???
You can buy this for the "bargain" price of £55 from here..http://www.laredoute.co.uk/style/So-Home-Cocon-Cardboard-Cradle.aspx?ProductId=324150095&DocumentId=452908&CompanyId=R&Path=17512824/17536323&source=

My friend had one of these for 1st baby and said it was great she didn't pay that much tho about £30 I guess now that its trendy and they call them Eco people are willing to pay more (idiots IMHO) I got a 2nd hand swinging crib for £60 of ebay and said friend has borrowed it for 2nd bubba that just arrived (see few pages back for hilarious home birth story!) and it will be back with me in time for little burger when he/she arrives.
In fact just checked and you can get a "proper" crib from kiddicare for £30 +p&p here:T0 -
Morning all, is it tomorrow that krystaltips gets married? If so and you pop in beforehand (although I doubt it unless you are super organised!?) best of luck.
So sorry for your loss bargainaholic, only 12 days to go, how exciting, best wishes to you and your family.
AM - I'm glad you've managed to get a scan so quickly, let us know how you get on.
AF you do sound so much more positive, good for you!
Candygirl, can't wait to hear how dds friend gets on, its funny how the nearer to the end you get, you can't help feeling "have they missed one" esp when peeps keep saying "are you sure there's only one in there"! I should think finding out about twins at 12 weeks must take some getting used to, imagine being told with only 4 weeks to go, eps seeing as many come early eek!
Hope everyone else is well, its a lovely sunny morning down in Kent, always makes me feel happier! XXProud mum to Matthew born 23/11/08 7lb 13ozand Rosie 12/01/05 7lb 9oz0 -
It was nerve racking enough at 7 weeks to be told we MIGHT have twins! That was the reason they scanned me last week and thankfully the lady said she couldn't see any sign of a second heartbeat... I took a deep breath of relief when she said that! I know 2 couples who have twins and they are very hard work! I find it overwelming that we're having one even if it's planned - but TWO??? I think I'd actually keel over with the shock!DFW Nerd #025DFW no more! Officially debt free 2017 - now joining the MFW's!

Hi everyone, been lurking for a few months now and have finally added myself to the list. :T
Can i ask you all where you are getting your nursery furniture from? I am constantly checking ebay etc but if we end up having to buy new, where can i get fairly decent stuff that isn't going to break the bank???
Thanks in advance xxxLove being a mummy

congrats jenkelly!! i have been picking up baby bits n pieces on ebay when i see them. baby only uses cot etc for such a short period of time maybe 18 months/2years that i decided i`d rather buy quality used stuff rather than cheap flimsy new furniture.
i couldnt justify spending the £200 on a new cot that i fancied when yest eve i picked up the exact same cot for £30 and as it had been kept at grannys house it had hardly been used. :j
i find this to be great for finding local stuff on ebay (just change the postcode to yours!;) ) and click on baby section. http://www.localbargainfinder.co.uk/
have seen a few recommendations for kiddicare, they seem to have good prices.proper prior planning prevents !!!!!! poor performance!Only when the last tree has died and the last river been poisoned and the last fish been caught will we realise we cannot eat moneyquote from an american indian.0 -
