lol skint - my date is the 16th but scan lady said she thinks i'm a day or two earlier than that so we might have the same due date!!! We couldn't hear the heartbeat yesterday but we could both see it on the screen
well once she pointed it out anyway!
How come you get a scan this early and I don't

Oh no! I just read that herb list and it says aloe vera is strongly purgative annd should be taken internally - my lip balm has aloe vera in and I've been using it!

I would not worry about the lip balm!
If you have ever tried Aloe Vera juice u would have to drink that daily to have an adverse effect and it is FOUL.Member no.1 of the 'I'm not in a clique' group :rotfl:

Really? Phew! Should I stop using it now though do you think? Or is it OK to carry on? It's Vaseline with aloe vera. DFW Nerd Club member 023...DFD 9.2.2007 :heartpuls married 21 6 08 :A Angel babies' birth dates 3.10.08 * 4.3.11 * 11.11.11 * 17.3.12 * 2.7.12 :heart2: My live baby's birth date 22 7 09 :heart2: I'm due another baby at the end of July 2014! :j

As for walking... get a dog! :rotfl: you HAVE to walk then
think that's why I have less sniffles these days - loads of fresh air. Now when I'm poorly I'm VERY poorly :rotfl:
I already have a dog , who thankfully is small enough to go through the cat flap and take herself for walks :rotfl:Baby Thomas born 3 months early by emergency section on 21/1/09 weighing 1lb 15ozs .
Thomas came home after 3 months and 2 days in hospital weighing 5lb 15ozs
Thomas weighed 21lb 4ozs on his 1st birthday , a total weight gain of 18lbs 5ozs !

Hello ladies - it's been busy this weekend!
To those thinking of flying - I flew at 13 weeks, 10 hours to vegas and I wore flight socks, drank lots of water and made sure that I stood up for at least an hour of the flight. It was fine. I haven't seen any medical evidence to suggest that you shouldn't fly whilst pregnant, just that flying can make symptoms worse (so you feel more sick and tired etc).
In some cases (AF!!) the stress of not flying probably far outweighs any minor risks!
I chatted with the midwife about it and she had absolutely no reservations as long as I took the precautions above. The insurance company were very blase about it too - didn't even want to know that I was pregnant until I was 30 weeks (I think - they practically laughed at me when I asked them if they needed to put a note on my file).
The only reason that the arlines don't like you to fly too late is because you don't want to give birth on board!
I got the letter through with the results of my blood tests yesterday and they are showing a low risk of downs. I hadn't realised that I was worrying so much but I was shaking when I opened the letter and I burst into floods of tears when I saw we were okay. I guess these things just build up in your mind don't they...
Sarah - sending labour vibes your way, I have a sneaking suspicion that Fritha doesn't need them anymoreplease listen to MFD - she is a wise womanProud Mummy to the gorgeous Benjamin John born 14 March 2009, 8lbs 14ozA new little seedling on the way, due 30 September 20120 -

Because I spent 2 nights and 3 days on IV in hospital through being so dehydrated from vomiting. They wanted to check pregnancy was ok and that it wasn't twins (no sign of a second heartbeat!) - it is NOT standard procedure! And to be honest you can't see much at this stage anywayAll you see is a shadow and a tiny pulse which is the heartbeat

hope everyone is well! just had a visit from the midwife to give me my notes and also go through the homebirth, i think everything was covered but it all seems crazy still lol!! has anyone else opted for or had a homebirth? is there anything i need to have or you would reccommend?? also which room are you having/had the baby in??? that was the only thing i never thought about lol!!
my new midwife is lovely and seemed really enthusiastic about the birth, which i never had with last midwife?? she even talked about sweeps and reflexology to start labour off from 38weeks lol!(as usually my girls like to stay put until im induced!)
am only 20 weeks tom but would like everything clear and organised, sorry bout the long post just have so much going around in my head?? well thats me away to finish painting the dining room!
Hi cazscoob
I am wanting a homebirth, I am 16+3 so a few weeks behind you, which is good as I can keep a check on your progress!!!
My last two were hospital births, even if I had planned hb they would have been hospitals due to the circumstances......i am hoping all goes smoothly and I can stay at home.
btw I am planning on giving birth in the living/dining room.
1 - becaue it is bigger than the bedroom, more room for walking/midwives etc
2 - I want my two boys to be able to go into their room and put a dvd on..
3 - if there are any problems it would be easier to transfer out of the house to hospital.
