I read a review not long ago that said in no uncertain terms that you get what you pay for... I don't think I'd risk it - I'd pay for a more expensive one rather than risk it not working or malfunctioning...

Hi, Can anyone offer me any words of wisdom at the moment as I am feeling quite low. I am nearly 9 weeks and I am suffering with bad nausea, but it lasts all day and is terrible if I let myself get hungry. It is making me feel really low, I just have no energy, I am getting home from work and having to go to bed, subsquently little of the housework is done and I am just not eating well as I don't seem to be able to face anything. The whole thing is just making me feel really depressed. We haven't told anyone yet about the pregnancy execpt my work so I can have the appointment times off and instead of feeling excited about telling people I just feel miserable. I'm sure everyone will be dead happy for us but I don't think i'll be able to cope with other people's joy when I just feel so rank. I was just wondering if anyone has felt the same as I am at the moment? Any support would be gratefully received

It's horrible aint it, but it will pass eventually, dont feel guilty about letting the housework go a bit or wanting to spend best part of the day in bed, you need the rest.
I had the same convo with my friend at the school gtaes this morning, she's the same hasnt hardly cooked, eated or done any housework all week and she's only 6 weeks lol

  • Have you got a link to the report MrsTine?

I am not convinced that any of them are very effective (having never used one of course ;) ) but if would be interesting to have a read.

Although, quite often the Lidl stuff is imported so it probably wouldn't fit in the normal rules of 'getting what you pay for' - I would guess that it depends on the strength and frequency of the electrical pulses (I think  )

I had my 'sweep' today with the MW, now 40+5  and getting REALLY fed up.
Tens machines - used one with DD and DS. You may have to remove them with some kinds of monitoring, but i found it a useful distraction, made my back feel a bit jelly like and as if loads of fingers were all over my back

  • Mmmm - now I am liking the fingers all over my back idea...although it may not prompt the usual response, my back is VERY sensitive ;):D

Sarah - curry? s e x? a good long walk? can a shock bring on labour too?

Auzelia - just spotted your post about baby not playing ball so you are unsure of the sex :rotfl: I guess some babies just want to be a surprise after all!

Mrs Tine i saw the 'I'm pregnant' magazine and had a fit of the giggles. i think its such a funny title!!! Said to my friend there could be a whole series, renaming popular magazines so they do 'what they say on the tin' so to speak, like 'i like cars', 'I shop too much' 'I watch daytime tv' :rotfl:

  • Now I wasn't going to say it Sarah :o but just thinking about having my back stroked and my neck kissed means that hubby will be in luck tonight :rotfl:

Oh but it is good to have some sex drive back :D

Last week on that Sex Education programme it said that orgasms are good for baby because they make baby feel happy too (endorphins or whatever!) so I have been taking advantage of that with hubby...'now you wouldn't deprive bubba of a little happiness darling would you' ;):D
