mmmm interesting... about the oranges and girls - friend of mine had a girl and she had really bad orange cravings too with her. It was something else when she was pregnant with her DS years before - but again fruit :)

At the moment it's not so much orange cravings tho as just fruit craving - banana's, oranges, grapes... I'm trying to get some variety at the moment :)

My mom didnt crave anything orangey-or fruity with us girls (3 of us) and nor did my sister with her two girls..... you hear all sorts of things about it must be a boy if you crave such and such...i reckon its all pretty random to be honest.

Ive enjoyed not knowing the sex-although ill be glad to actually buy boy or girly things once baby is here! ive been sticking to basics in neutrals for now.

    Morning everyone,

been off board for a couple of days, just trying to drink 2 pints of water as we've got our first scan at half 12 and I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO scared/nervous/excited, have to leave at 12 so got one hour to get drinking!

Im dying to know when the pregnancy glow is going to kick in though as I look like a bag lady! My hair has gone really greasy, i look like a spotty teenager and my skin seems really flakey and sullen...

Can anyone recommend any products which can help your skin out when pregnant as my normal stuff doesnt seem to be doing it!

We got the letter for our first scan yesterday... 08:15 in the morning! Nov 3rd which is a monday morning!! "Come with a full bladder" - yeah right should read "try to turn up wearing clothes and not jammies and preferably awake..."

CAFCgirl - just lots and lots of cleansing - use gentle or sensitive products contrary to popular belief - the girl that does my facials says NO spot wipes or clearasil etc - it's too harsh and you'll get more spots - these are hormone spots NOT dirty skin spots :)
You CAN dab on a little tea tree oil which I'm 99.9% sure is safe during pregnancy - both from memory and from a quick google search :)
It'll help dry the spots out over night :) It's what my facial girl uses on me and herself and it does work wonders!
If your skin is dry try cocoabutter :) and try to avoid dry environments - ie air conditioned offices - or at least have a humidifier around you - same at home if you have the heating on :)

Actually I think I'll book myself in for another facial week tomorrow ;) I feel the need!

I can completely understand this... OH woke me up to get DD ready for school this morn and I begged him to tell me it was a Sat... It was only her first day yesterday too!

I couldn't eat fruit at all with DD, used to turn my entire insides into acid... Made up for it with expanding my range of vegetable and quite glad I did... Discovered loads of things I thought I didn't like were actually quite nice... (Still not sprouts though!)

I've not been in the mood for eating at all the past couple of days (apart from the gorgeous curry I had last night) but my appetite seems to of returned with a vengance this morning, I'm starving!

Nothing to report on the nipple front here though...
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

WEll girls it's all go here:eek:  My DD has returned home pregnant, after her and her bf planned a baby for months. When it came to the crunch he was too much of a wimp to take on any responsibility, and made her life so unbearable she had to leave last weekend. At least I know she's safe with me, and the way I look at it, at least he's shown his true colours earlier rather than later    She's having her first scan tomoz, and i'm going with her, can't wait!!!:j :j
Hope you're all doing well ,and have proper men as prospective Dads;) :D

Sorry to hear it Candy - some men panic to start with and then when they calm down they chill about it :) He may find that being a dad isn't THAT scary but then he'll have a lot to prove!!!
Some obviously don't though :( Calm I mean!
Obviously she now has to decide if she wants him to be in the Baby's lafe later on and if not then make sure he doesn't get any right etc by making sure he's not listed as the father on the certificate etc - I think she can do that - it does probably mean she won't get any financial support from him though I think? Others will know this much better than me though!!!
