mmmmmmm seabrooks!! last time i had a craving for cocopops, this time its oranges, not quite as nice!

I was just thinking the same about Seabrooks!!! :D . Yuuuummmmy!

Last time and this I have been off tea and coffee from very early on but had my first cup of tea today :T with HobNobs!

I had cravings for pure orange juice and lots of different fruits last time but this time its the more unhealthy cheese and tomato on toast!.

lwcus, so glad your course is going well. I had never even thought of anything like that but it sounds really good. And positive thoughts can only be a good thing during labour!

    xx

lwcus78, positive thinking is JUST what you need to do, you have to believe in yourself and your body's ability to do what it needs to do. I have not done hypnobirthing courses but i practised Bikram yoga until v recently, and meditation, so a bit of mind over matter is second nature to me.
My first midwife when I had DD drew me a little picture of someone walking up a hill, then it gets steeper and steeper, then all of a sudden it levels out and the little person who climbed the hill is pushing a pushchair.
You will need less pain relief/feel less need for it if you trust your body and relax. When I had DD i imagined a huge feather which I had to blow away
Whan i had little DS things were not good in my life and I knew I was too stressed to give birth like that so i had an epidural.

    Confessions:
I've had a couple of glasses of wine at home, and when i've been out (not much!), i've had half a guiness and blackcurrant. It didn't do our grandmothers any harm!!

I've also had a couple of prawn sandwiches/salads - i really fancied them.

I've had peanut m&m's - i was also told not to avoid peanuts!

    Hormones:
I was completely crazy until about 15 weeks. I'm 18+2 now, and looking back I feel so sorry for my OH! I was insane and totally unreasonable.

    Cravings:
I NEEDED a corned beef, red onion and beetroot sandwich for my lunch today? The canteen staff looked at me like I was strange.

I'd gone off coffee until this week - fancied a cup the other day.

I'm also always really hungry, but if I cook a meal, i don't fancy it when its done:mad:

I could eat indian takeaway for every meal. I first got this craving with my DS 11 years ago - and its never gone:eek:

  • I went mad for mashed potato last time, really buttery.... Just did some for DD and OH but really couldn't face any myself.... Curry should be here at about 8pm ;)

I didn't do anything special last time, hypnowotsit wise.. But I completely trusted in my own body and disapeared into myself. (My sister must of been so bored!) The only pain relief I got was gas and air but only after 11hours active labour and I could of probably done without it if it hadn't been available... I didn't notice any difference apart from it dried my mouth out...

Ikklebeans, I'm having the same kind of Achy feelings on my left side and across my womb too... Don't recall having them with DD but then I didn't get the 'feeling like you're about to come on' feeling with her either... I'm hoping it's normal too... If we're both having it, it must be ;)

Have you started having cravings yet? Because I reeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaally fancy a curry... But not really sure if it's a craving or just because OH doesn't like them so I don't get one very often...

Me too :j I was starting to worry too! Phew!
Been naughty today - bought 3 different pregnancy mags... if it doesn't have pictures of babies I'm not interested :rotfl:

Cravings... yeah... fruit mainly - Olives last night - grapes - oddly not fancying chocolate - and because I know I'm pregnant I'm not having junk food cravings at all... I want a healthy bubby - Bean will just have to like healthy stuff! :rotfl:
Oh I've decided to refer to him as "him" and "Bean"... :) I can't call him "it"...

  • Hello, all just read this entire thread and found it very interesting and informative.

I discovered Sunday that I was pregnant (this will be my first baby) and guess about 4 weeks. Went to doctor who told me to book to see midwife and this is booked for 3rd October.

Partner and I are very excited!!!!! but it is also scared reading lots on forums.

Icklebeans described sensation of butterflies - I have had this constantly but not sure if it is nerves and excitement.

    H xx:j

  • The doctor estimated my due date was 10th May and this website called baby centre estimated 17th May??? so a bit confused........

  • Think the NHS website gave me 18th May...

Just had a gorgeous curry, craving was well and truly fullfilled... But starting to think I'm suffering evening sickness as aposed to morning... Feel fine in the day and right after tea... Then about 10 o'clock I start to feel all bloaty and sick like I've over eaten... 3rd night in a row now... It's not fun... I thought I wouldn't be uncomfortable in bed for a few months yet!
