This thread certainly moves quickly!!

I am now 3 days over my due date and I feel really frustrated!!
I am desperate to not need to be induced as I can't have my homebirth then. The midwives came out to see me today and have said that they will come and give me a membrane sweep on Monday if I haven't gone into labour by then. Has anybody had one of these? Did it hurt?
Hope everybody else is keeping well?
How exciting keelykat to have a date for your induction! Makes it even more exciting and a bit more real when you know something definite.

I must admit to being a little more lax in adhering to the what I should and shouldn't eat guidlines this time around. I have probably had too much tuna, I know I have had things with nuts in and I have enjoyed soft icecream etc. But I just tell myself that its not too bad as I don't drink!!
Off to try and convince OH to go and fetch me a hot curry now to see if we can urge things along!!

Candy, what an absolute swine, plonker (and lots of others too!). Aww, your poor daughter. But so lucky to have a lovely Mum to help her through. I'm wishing you both lots of luck tomorrow at the scan and please report back as soon as you can! .

Re: the birth certificate, as they are not married he is required to be present when the birth is registered to be named on it (married couples only require either parent).

I'm alright, thank you for asking Without TMI, I'm back to normal, period-wise, which is good I suppose. Had a few emotional outbursts, more so lately than at the time, which has been a bit random, but I'm okay usually. We came to a particular way of looking at it - I won't go into it as I don't want to upset anyone - but it helped.

We're now thinking that we won't try again until Christmas - totally personal choice but we would prefer not to have a baby born in July or August, thinking of the school year. I was told to wait for two periods before trying again so that puts me into conceiving in mid-Oct and beyond which would make EDD of June-August (based on it only taking ten weeks of trying last time). Seems like forever away and I know it's not an exact science but hey.. fun trying in the meantime Plus we're getting the house sorted and I'm supposed to be eBaying all my [STRIKE]junk[/STRIKE] treasure between now and Christmas.
