I did that almost straight away and still do it. I put the cat on my bump deliberately to get him to purr to Bean:o :p :rotfl:

I have taken to stuffing the cat down my top.... I love how soft his furr feels against my skin... He doesn't seem to mind, he's purring away...

OH has been putting his hands on me saying 'our baby' But he usually does it over my ribs so I just 'no dear, that's just fat'
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

  • Sorry if this is TMI but I am 6 i/2 weeks and I have a slightly yellow discharge. Only a small amount of it. Is this normal. Don't want to go to the GP if it is

I bought a book by Annabel Karmel yesterday called 'Complete first year planner'. Its fab and deals with practicalities from pregnancy right through to 1 year old. We heard about her because she develops food menus for the nursery we're hoping to get into and I was curious. Its a very down to earth book and covers everything from a list of what to take to hospital through breastfeeding to getting babies to settle. She's a Mum of 2 and its totally from the perspective of someone who's been there. I'm loving it!

yup, thats normal. you may notice and increase in discharge from now on. you only need to see the gp if it smells off or is itchy as it may be thrush
  • AF - I get 'shooty booby pains' all the time! To the point of if it wince and put a hand near my chest hubby will talk loudly about shooty booby pains - no matter who is listening

It hasn't occurred to me that these are anything other than normal

krystal - before I left for work this morning hubby came and held my belly and said 'I'm just saying godbye to bubba' after about a minute of patting and stroking I was like 'are you ever going to say goodbye to me too?' I keep getting miffed that he talks about 'you two' like I am getting jealous of the relationship between him and baby already  blooming hormones.

glad i am not the only one :D i too have to bring my arm up to my boob and press on it, thankfully i work opposite another lady, not sure what the guy in the office would have to say with me constantly pressing up against my own boob :silenced:

i used to get these pains before i was pregnant anyway and just put it down to being rather well blessed in that area and sleeping on my stomach a lot.

my hubbie is almost the opposite. You can see he's desperate to be bonding and keeps saying he's really jealous that i get to have the amazing experience (hmmm, not convinced at that choice of word - although it's definately a miracle), but he's not quite comfortable with my bump yet though. It's strange, but I think we both find it hard to really believe there is a baby in there!:o

*don't get me wrong we are both very excited*

i soooo understand. i think sometimes that my hubby forgets that i am pregant. i know he had a shock when i told him we were expecting and he kept saying he didn't think it would seem real until he heard the heartbeat. when we had the 12 week scan he was so focused on the screen.

he did say to me though that some guy on the radio said that his wife was 8 months pregnant and it has only just hit him as to what it all means. hubby admitted that he will probably be like that to.

** and we are both excited too **
  • :rotfl: I went through a phase at the beginning when I had permanipple of rubbing both nipples with the palms of my hands whilst I was stood at the photocopier or wherever :rotfl:

Hubby is fine about bubba - although he has done it before - it is me that keeps getting all wobbly about there still being an us as a couple even after bubba gets here (although maybe that is also to do with him having done this before and his relationship with his ex-wife not lasting :o )

it's funny because I have never spared a thought for ex-wife and their relationship until I got pg - now I am all curious and feel a bit funny about comparing...

Just reckon I am a bit insecure at the moment.
