I now feel totally ashamed with myself as I waited one weeks after DS1 and 9 days after DS2!!

(Had your bleeding stopped already by then?! )

Hello :o just been to see the midwife, all is going well still. bp is behaving, and ive got just two weeks left now till my due date! The midwife keeps saying i might be lucky and not have to wait that long (i wish!!!!) :o Just got to see what the consultant says on tuesday now.

Booking in appointment normally just involves a feel of your tummy, a urine sample and a whole load of medical questions so probably best if OH comes along so he can answer for his side of the family. There is nothing to worry about.

At mine we went thorugh the book you have to carry with you covering medical history, a general chat about choices of care levels, discussed the nuchal test and breastfeeding and put in urine sample. Didn't even lay a finger on me the whole time (about 40mins). Hubbles was kicked out at the end so they could ask if he was abusive to me at all and whether I had any other concerns which is when hypnobirthing was suggested.

    Thanks guys!
I'll make sure he comes aloong too then - he wants to, but I wasn't sure what was going to be happening so thought I'd find out first ;)
Good idea about kicking them out at the end so more "sensitive" questions can be asked :) Bless. If anything he'll end up smothering me as he's already overprotective - last night had migraine from hell after crying loads at a funeral... So in the pouring rain after a long day at work he went out to buy me paracetamols and then cooked me plain pasta with cheese which was all I could face... He was fussing like an old woman bless him - it was really sweet :)

I know what you mean about smothering!

After our little drama last week I was told to take it easy over the weekend. Everytime I moved to get off the couch I got asked why I was moving, where I was going and what I wanted. I eventuall snapped at him:o and asked if he thought I might be allowed to go to the loo for myself!:rotfl: He said he didn't know how ese to help. I guess he feels a bit helpless about it all, bless him:smileyhea

My husband has been with me to all midwife and hospital appointments-ive got nothing to hide-as he'll be there on the big day anyway so if anything shocks him now, god help him when i give birth lol!! He's been great-with my high bp he's helped me stay calm and not panick. i get white coat syndrome-so going alone makes me feel worse.

So are there a lot of appointments then? So far I've had a pre booking appointment and a 12 week scan and I've got dates for a 20 week scan and for 22weeks with MW but at doctor's surgery rather than maternity wing of hospital. No idea what happens after that:confused: do checks become more regular? Or do you get left to carry on so long as nothing happens?
